The IC85 is the Rolls-Royce of the in-ceiling speakers. It is perfect for high-powered whole house systems designed for large spaces. Premium technologies such as Kevlar woofers, pivoting aluminum dome tweeters and sophisticated crossover–provide deep bass and exceptional top-end frequency response.
Kevlar is best component for woofer, it responds note for note without coloration and has big cranking power so you can dial up your system for higher listening levels.
The contour switches will let you tailor frequency response to your room arrangement. You won't find yourself wishing for more or less treble, midrange or bass output from one speaker just because you don't happen to sit right between them.

This is one the best speakers I've owned in my life. I'm a surgeon and audio is my side business. I will spend thousands of dollars for top of the line speakers. I really love the C850 installed in my den. They look good, chrome on the back with real copper and capacitor made for the crossover, Kevlar woofer and counter switch. The more I listen the more I like these speakers. I own B&W, Infinity and Jamo speakers. - Chris

I purchase two pair of these for ceiling speakers for our Church. Sound excellent in the fellowship gathering room and hall ways. Almost as good as being in the Sanctuary with the main system. You can't go wrong with these baby's - impressive sound for $200. - Chris
Just finished installing a pair of them. Great sound out of the box. A real gem for the price. Highly recommended. Powering them with an 85W Denon Receiver for just music (not HT) and they are perfect for my 18 X 34ft living room. - George
I ordered these speakers because the price has within my budget and the construction materials are the same as much more expensive speakers with popular brand names. The specs publish on these speakers are better than some of the big brands. I figured it was whorth a try. I connected the one of the speaker when I first got it to test it out. It sounded better than the Harmon kardon suround speakers. The quality of the speakers looked very good to me. I turned around and bought two more so I could flush mount my rear speakers. My great room is 22X42 and these speakers fill it up nicely. I built wood speaker boxes behind the speakers to give it better sound and to isolate them from the heat and dirt of the attic. I will tell my friend about these speakers. - James

While I have not installed all of my components/speakers yet, the quality of the products appear to be high and the purchasing experience was very good. I did plug in one of my outdoor speakers (5.25 AWP525) and could not tell the difference compared to my existing (and MUCH more expensive Polk M2 Series), although I am by no means an expert. I expect the same experience from my indoor speakers (ICS6S and IC8S) as well as my 8 stations speaker selector and impedance matching volume controls (VMT100B). I purchased based on reviews and have read good things about these speakers. I have also shopped all over the Internet and found these to be the best prices anywhere...many sites charging twice as much.
So far I feel no buyers remorse and feel very happy with my endorsement and my purchase. - Tom
I received my speakers fast and they were well packed. I paired these IC85 to the CL85LCR fronts and they sound great (5.1). Easy install, setup, and great sound make these the performance speakers to buy. - Logan (So Cal)
