How do I track my order?
Tracking numbers are usually sent to your email account 1 business day after the order is shipped. You can also track the status or your order directly from our website. Click the link under Support on the home page, input your order number (example: 3287) and your billing zip code and you’ll get a real time status of your order. Then click the tracking number to be redirected USPS or UPS live tracking website. Tracking numbers that begin with C111 can be tracked by going to www.ontrac.com.
My order does not show it's in progess. What's going on?
Our shipping and processing speed is blazing fast, but keep in mind that orders placed after 3pm PST will be shipped the following business day. All orders placed Friday 3pm PST through Sunday will be processed on the following Monday.
Why has my tracking number not updated yet?
Typically tracking numbers from USPS (your regular mail), UPS and Ontrac take 24 hours to update. Often with USPS tracking numbers, it could take up to 48 hours or longer to update.
My USPS tracking number has not updated in a while. What's going on?
USPS unlike UPS uses delivery confirmation for tracking purposes. These tracking numbers typically do not update throughout the day or until they are near your local shipping facility.
My package has shipped. When will it arrive?
Once your order leaves our warehouse, it’s in the hands of the designated shipper such as the US Postal Service, UPS or Ontrac . Typically, the USPS packages take 2-3 days to arrive with Saturday counting as a delivery day. UPS ground service may take up to 5 business days depending on your location (Please note UPS doesn't count saturday as a shipping day). Ontrac takes 1-3 business days depending on location. International package delivery varies greatly. It can take 7-10 days for delivery depending on your location.
How will my package arrive to my residence?
We ship all items in boxes. If you opted for USPS delivery, your mail carrier will deliver the package to your mailbox or door. If you selected UPS, or Ontrac, the driver will leave the package at your door.
How do I know if an item is in stock or not?
Check the product page to verify that the item is in stock. If the item is not in stock, we'll display the day we estimate it will be back in stock. You can also enter your email address to be automatically notified when items are back in stock.

I selected rush processing. When will my product ship?
By selecting rush processing we guarantee that your product will be shipped processed immediately. If you select rush processing Friday after 3pm PST through Sunday, your item will be shipped out first thing on Monday morning.
Can your outdoor speakers withstand rain, snow and hot summer months?
Yes, OSD outdoor speakers are developed with harsh conditions of the outdoors in mind. Our outdoor speakers use weather-resistant components and non-water-absorbing materials. This is critical in winter so it won't freeze and crack. The shape of our rock speakers is designed to withstand large amounts of pressure, extreme temperatures and moisture. It's important to remember that outdoor speakers are an investment, so take good care of them. If possible, install your patio speakers under eves for added protection. During extreme winter months, cover up your rock speakers or store them away. This will only lengthen the time you’ll have to enjoy your outdoor speakers.
Can I hook up my outdoor speakers to an iPod or other Mp3 device?
Yes! Wired outdoor speakers need to connect to an amplifier or receiver for power. If your amp has an input for your iPod, then you can listen to that source on your speakers. We have all the cables you need to connect to the amplifier from your iPod and the speaker wire you need to run to your rock speakers. If you order wireless speakers, your iPod or other device can be connected directly to the transmitter via the included mini cable.
Can I add more speakers to my wireless outdoor system?
Sure but you will have to purchase the same type of OSD wireless speakers that transmits on the same frequency. Unlike wired systems that can be home run to separate channels on an amplifier, additional speakers will require additional power. Your original transmitter will still transmit the signal to the added speakers but you will have some leftovers like an additional transmitter. Just store it away in case the transmitter is damaged; it could come in handy on day.
Can wireless routers affect the signal of wireless speakers?
Although rare, some customers have experienced interference with certain models of wireless internet routers. If you experience interference with your wireless router, OSD recommends moving the transmitter that came with your speakers as far away as possible from the wireless router and cycling through the frequency channels several times.
How do you re-synchronize the wireless transmitter with the wireless speakers?
When everything is plugged in and powered on, turn the wireless speakers off using the on/off button on the remote. Next, press the channel button on the transmitter once. Turn the speakers on using the on/off button on the remote. The speakers should start producing sound. Make sure that the volume is turned up using the volume button on the remote.
Can I install ceiling and wall speakers myself?
Yes you can! Customers typically purchase OSD Audio ceiling and wall speakers for new construction or retrofit. In new construction, studs or joists are exposed and sheet rock or ceiling tiles have not been installed. Retrofit refers to speakers installed into existing rooms. In retrofit construction, customers will use the dog ear clamps (sometimes referred to as retrofit brackets) that are included in the frames of all OSD Audio ceiling speakers. Once you are ready to install the speakers, after the ceiling has been installed and your hole has been cut, remove the grill so you have access to the four mounting screws that activate the dog ears. In new construction, a mounting bracket is often used although it is not required when you purchase our ceiling speakers. The two advantages for using brackets are: 1) you can determine the exact placement of the speaker while providing a template to cut the mounting hole; and 2) mounting brackets provide additional support. If you do not want to use mounting brackets, you can you can put up the drywall or ceiling, cut the hole and use the dog ear clamps to secure the speakers. (Note: the dog ears are also used in conjunction with the new construction brackets.)
Are All your Speakers 8 ohms?
Yes, with the exception of our 70v speakers for large commercial applications, all OSD Audio speakers are rated at 8 ohms.
What is Impedance Matching?
All speakers have an impedance rating, typically 8 ohm for a pair of home speakers. To operate in the safest mode, most standard amplifiers and basic two-channel receivers are rated for an 8-ohm incoming load. To operate safely and consistently, the amp needs to see an 8 ohm load, and that’s where impedance-matching comes into play. To protect the amp, the volume control has impedance matching that you can turn on or off (manually). Impedance-matching provides more precise protection for the amplifier/receiver versus the protection built into the speaker selector. In fact, when adding impedance matching, you must turn off (disable) the protection in the speaker selector. Most impedance-matching volume controls feature three standard settings: 1/2x, 4x and 8x, while some add a 16-ohm setting like our VMS series. These settings correspond to a chart in the owner’s manual based upon the type of amplifier (4 or 8 ohm) and the number of 4 or 8 ohm speakers that you will be using in the multi-zone/room/speaker system.

How long does it take to ship a package?
We ship orders the same day if it's placed before 3pm Pacific time unless otherwise stated in the product description. You will get a tracking number for your order the next business day. Our logistic warehouse is located in Southern California. The ground shipping time table for UPS is posted below. Our orders are primarily shipped through UPS and occasionally through USPS.




I just prucased a product and now it is at a lower price. What can I do?
Outdoorspeakerdepot.com merchandise pricing is subject to change at any time. Sale price adjustments will be honored on items that are reduced in price, within 14 days from the shipped date upon approval
How much is shipping?
Shipping costs can be calculated directly by inputting your order and address and selecting confirm. The exact shipping amount and any applicable taxes will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. The order will NOT be placed until you enter your credit card information and confirm the order.
Can I change to an order that has already been placed?
Yes if it within 1-2 hours from the time of purchase. We can't guarantee that we would be able to accommodate you due to the fact that we ship out hundreds of orders daily. It's best to double check your order and make sure all quantities, part numbers and color options are correct before submitting in the order.
Can I pick-up my order?
Yes, if you would like to pick up your order at our Brea location please select 'Will Call' under the shipping options. If the order is placed before 3 PM the order can be picked up the next day. If you would like to pick it up at a later date, you can specify a pick-up time (within our regular office hours) in the comments section of the order form. At present, the Brea location is the only pick-up location available.
Can I listen to the speakers before I purchase them?
Yes, if you are in the Southern California area and would like to visit our factory store, we can play selected speakers for sample listening. Please refer to our address and office hours above. If you're not able to come to our office, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all our products. If you're not happy with the sound you can send them back for a full refund of the product price.
Can I place the order over the phone?
All of our orders are placed on our website. If you are having trouble placing an order on our site or do not have access to the internet, we'd be happy to place the order for you over the phone onto our website during our office hours. How can I be sure your site is secure?

What is your return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with your outdoor sound product within 30 days after its delivery, it is returnable for full refund. Please email rma@outdoorspeakerdepot.com for a return authorization number. We will respond to your email within 24 hrs during regular business days. Once receiving the return unit(s), in good condition with all the packaging boxes, we will credit your account. This does not include shipping costs unless it is our service failure. ** We are not responsible for goods damaged in return shipping or lost packages so please ensure items are packed securely and insurance is purchased on the item in case it gets lost. Registering the package can also guarantee proof of acceptance.

What is the warranty on your products?
All our products have a Limited Manufacturer Warranty unless otherwise stated on the site. Please check the product description for extend warranty from different makers. If any product proves defective in materials or workmanship within one year of purchase, we will arrange for repair or replacement, unless otherwise stated in the product description. This warranty does not include damage to the product resulting from negligence, accident, misuse or light bulb replacement in the lighting units. Please retain your dated sales receipt and call 562-697-2600 for a return authorization number and shipping information. As these are electronic items their lifespan is increased by the amount care in their treatment. They are best covered in severe winter and rain conditions. Sunlight and heat are not a problem.

Are the speakers sold in pair or single?
Most of our speakers are sold in pairs (2 speakers). However, there are models that are sold as individual units. For example, our the dual voice coil speakers are sold as 1 pc. Always check the unit of measure next to the price on the product page. Sold in single 1 = 1 pc or Sold in pairs 1 = 1 pair.
What size wire would you recommend?
16 gauge direct burial wire speaker wire is recommended for runs up to 100 ft., 14 gauge for over 100 ft and 12 gauge for 200 ft or longer.
How far should the outdoor speakers be apart?
Typically, the ratio for outdoor speaker sound broadcast range based upon the SPL (sound pressure level) of the speakers used an average ambient background noise, is 30-60 ft. any speakers under 100 watts are typically expected to perform satisfactorily in the 30 foot broadcast range .
I can't listen to them. How do I know they will sound good?
The specifications and customer reviews of our products speak for themselves. We can honestly tell you that customers love the sound quality and often call us to us to tell us how great they sound!
How Do I Connect my Rock Speakers?
Each rock has a weather-proof terminal junction cup that makes hook up easy. Complete instructions are in the box. This water tight connection will make the Rock totally weatherproof.
How Soon Do You Ship?
Orders received before 3:00pm Pacific Time will generally ship the same day, otherwise will ship the next business day.
What Shipping Methods are Available?
For domestic orders, UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS 3 Day Select, and UPS Ground. For international orders, USPS Priority Mail.
Does UPS deliver on Saturday?
Normal UPS operation is Monday through Friday. If you wish to have your order delivered on Saturday, there will be additional fees. Please contact our office for further details.
I have a ______________ space , how many speakers do I need?
Speaker Quantity decision is based upon coverage space for exterior installation, some attention must be made to the landscaping and features of an exterior installation. Without knowing those conditions in advance, it would be difficult or impossible for our staff to offer any design specification or recommendations. Typically sound broadcast spread from the outdoor speaker is calculated between 30 – 60 ft
How do I remove the grills from the speakers?
Hold speaker in front of you with grill facing down, rotate locking toggles in the back counter clockwise to disengage, and push them down, and the grill will pop out. Be sure to reset the toggles before attempting to install the speaker in the ceiling or wall.
How do I control the volume independently for indoor vs. outdoor or different rooms?
OSD speaker selectors are useful when you want to connect more than two pair of speakers to a typical stereo receiver or amplifier, or when you want “on/off” speaker control from a single location. We also carry speaker selector with built in volume control.
Can I run my speaker wire along or near electrical lines?
No. This will cause interference and distortion. If you need to cross electrical lines, do so in a perpendicular fashion.
How do I determine which speakers I should purchase to match the wattage capacity of my existing audio equipment?
First, determine the wattage of your receiver or amplifier. The speakers you purchase should always have a wattage handling capacity equal to or greater than the wattage rating of your amp or receiver.
Why are there four different conductor wires in my speaker cable? What is each used for?
There are four different conductor wires to accommodate two speakers (one pair) with each run of cable. When connecting wires always use the red and white wires for the positive (+) connections and the black and green wires for the (-) connections as shown below.
Left Speaker Positive (+L) = White wire
Left Speaker Negative (-L) = Green wire
Right Speaker Positive (+R) = Red wire
Right Speaker Negative (-R) = Black wire
Does your company provide installation services for my speakers?
No. We recommend contacting a qualified local low voltage contractor such as a custom audio installer or security system installer.
What kind of speaker should I purchase for different size rooms?
One key deciding factor is the woofer size. Generally the larger the woofer, the bigger the bass output of your speaker. Therefore, use a larger speaker for a larger room.
Can I mount rectangular speakers in my ceiling or round speakers in my wall?
For most purposes, the round speakers are designed for use in ceiling installation as they disperse sound in a conical fashion, whereas rectangular speakers are designed for installation in-wall as they disperse sound in a linear fashion. While all speakers will function in either wall or ceiling, using them as they are designed will maximize performance and aesthetic appeal.
Can I control more than one pair of speakers with a single wall mount volume control?
Yes, the maximum number of speakers you can connect to a single volume control is 2 pairs.
Will my in-wall volume control fit in a standard pre-installed j-box?
Possibly, depending on the make and manufacturer of the j-box. In some cases, the back of the j-box may have to be removed to accommodate the depth of the volume control.
What happens when there are two sources sending an audio signal to your AMP200 or AMP300?
There are two input sources on these amps. The source 1 input will always be the primary input over source 2. If both source 1 and 2 inputs have audio feeding through, the amp will take the signal from source 1.
