A new house can be a great place to install a home theater. But the room layout isn’t optimized for a 5.1 surround system. When the video screen is in the corner of the room, it makes it hard for ordinary speakers to track across the sound stage. That’s because the left, center and right speakers really need to fire from the same plane as the picture. With video in a corner, it takes away the flat surface needed when trying to couple audio with video.
