For commercial speaker installations, this trimless design in-ceiling speaker includes a backcan and built-in 70V transformer. The ICE840ST also has 8 ohms setting so you can use this model for your regular 8 ohms applications. Using strong magnetite to secure the grill, it is very easy to remove the grill to adjust the 70V setting. The one piece grill covers the complete speaker for a clean, custom look. Sophisticated crossover delivers better bass, clarity and clean highs.

For a retrofit installation, no construction bracket is needed.

Does this product has any UL listing? How do I know it is safe for use since I will be running 70V to it.

Answer:

Hi Wilson:

70V system are considered low voltage/High Impedance. They are much safer than the 8 ohm/High Current systems and easier to work with. The electronics which are active (plugged into AC) typically need to be UL, the speakers are passive and under the low voltage category. UL is not mandatory in this part of the application.
