I am considering installing the iPort IW-20 in our bathroom, and pairing it with the ICE600WRS speakers for a single zone, stand alone system. What other equipment, is necessary to complete the system? An amplifier? If so, what type is recommended. My preference is to keep any wall mounted equipment to a minimum.

Answer:
David,
I would use our AMP120 to power the ice600wrs speaker pair.

I want to purchase an iPort IN Wall Docking for my yoga studio, we have drop ceiling tiles and I want to use some in ceiling speakers. Do the speaker wires run right to the dock or is there something needed inbetween? Or a better choice in wall docks?
By Customer Service - Q&A on March 21, 2012
Answer:
Hi Emily,
This is a very popular docking station. We do have the manual available in the features and specs (see 'downloads' ). There you will find the wiring diagram, but the speakers would run to an amp or receiver and the iPort would connect to that unit with RCA cables and included wall plate. Between the wall plate and the iPort is Cat5 wiring.

Answer:
Hi Emily:
You will need to run the Speaker wire from the external Amplifier once connected to the wall plate (from the iPod wall mount dock) back inside the wall (using something like our WP-4) up to the ceiling for your speakers. You are in luck we have everything you need including the CL3 Rated speaker wire (16/2), The Amplifier that would be perfect (the AMP120) and large selection of In-Ceiling Speakers in all shapes and sizes perfect for your application all at pricing hard to beat.
