The speakers arrived promptly and in great condition. We hooked them up before installing them and they sounded a little tinny so we had to turn our base up higher on the receiver. BUT, after installing them, the base showed up. I guess mounting them in the ceiling helps out. We do not have a subwoofer, but the sound is great. We have a fairly large living room and 2 speakers is more than enough to fill the space. Excellend buy! - Catherine
