Could these speakers be installed in a patio (under cover/eaves)? I'm in Texas, so moisture and cold weather aren't a major concern. However, the heat is pretty bad in the summer.

Can the speaker shield be removed? I need to spray paint them bronze so they blend into a hotel's decor.

Dear Anthony,
Yes the grills do come off so you can spray paint them. The cut out template included doubles as a paint shield, when placed behind the grill to protect the woofer and components- so you can paint both the frame and grill
