Match your recessed lighting size and you won't even notice that there are speakers there!!

The Power of a Kevlar Woofer?
Kevlar is a super strong material known for its ability to produce powerful but very smooth bass tones. Kevlar woofer cones retain their shape even at very high energy levels, which means you can crank up the volume and experience spine-tingling sound without distortion or coloration.

Do I Need Special Cable for In-ceiling speakers?
Wiring is not included with in-ceiling speakers so you will have to purchase some. While wiring requirements will depend on your local building codes, OSD Audio offers CL3/FT4 cable that is UL (fire) rated for all residential and most commercial in-wall and in-ceiling applications. (The exception is you cannot run this cable in heating or cooling ducts in commercial applications.) This cable includes a heavy-duty outer jacket approved for in-wall/in-ceiling installation. The high quality plastic jacket is also very flexible so it's easy to run the wires inside the wall.

Testing the Sound Quality of In-ceiling Speakers
Many customers like to test the sound quality of their new OSD Audio in-ceiling speakers before they install them. Keep in mind, however, that these flush-mount speakers are designed to be used in the wall or ceiling. Uninstalled in-wall/in-ceiling speakers will sound weak and tinny because without the proper enclosure (in this case your house wall) the speaker can’t produce the sound pressure level it needs. If you want to try them out, we recommend mounting the in-ceiling speakers into a box of about 3 cubic ft. or larger; or simply mount them in the ceiling and then listen. This will give you an accurate measure of the sound quality.

For a retrofit installation, no construction bracket is needed.

The new micro flange grilles have a thin (0.15") trim, giving the ACE speakers a clean and sleek appearance that seamlessly integrates into any design space. Match your recessed lighting size and you won't even notice that there are speakers there!

Just bought a pair of these - they look great, can't wait to hook 'em up! I want to make enclosure cabinets for them - not going to mount in ceiling. Can you supply recommended cabinet size (total volume, dimensions) based on the driver? Any way to find a the Thiele /Small parameters (Q, Qts, driver displacement),etc...) so I can use online calculators to design speaker boxes? Thanks
1 Answer
Hi Wayne, For box dimensions, you would usually go 2 or 2.5 times as deep as the speaker itself, and about as wide and long as the speaker. The dimensions for the ACE750 is 9" x 3 9/10" (D x H) CS 2479

Can the grills be painted to match ceiling color?
1 Answer
Hi Drew, Yes they can, but you will want to be extremely careful and use a very light coat of spray paint so that you do not block the holes in the grill.

I can't find the dimensions of this product on the tech spec sheet. I'm trying to decide between the ACE 750 and the ACE840 and it will help for me to know the outer diameters for comparison.

What is the new construction bracket to be used with this speaker? I see that the cutout dimension are different from other 6.5" and 8" in-ceiling speakers.
1 Answer
We do not have a bracket for this speaker; instead it comes equipped with dog-eared brackets, so it’s retro fit. with no addtional bracket needed. My suggestion would be to go ahead with the drywall and make the cut-out afterwards. CL
