Built in water drainage hole for our high end speakers. We add this feature to make our speakers "dryer" in the raining season.  Although all of our outdoor speakers are Teflon sealed and it costs us more to add drainage hole in the production, we believe a "dry" speaker will last longer than a "wet" speaker.
