Built for commercial and residential installations, our Professional Grade speaker cable is designed for pros who want to provide customers with the best quality audio and get the job done quickly and efficiently. Rated for both in-wall and direct burial use, this two-conductor high strand count copper cable provides excellent signal transfer for installations where background music is needed, and the 16-gauge thickness is ideal for shorter wire runs (under 50 ft) with 8-ohm speakers. The reinforced but flexible polypropylene jacket is UV resistant and protects the copper conductors from high heat and cold conditions as well as dirt, dust and other elements that can degrade cable integrity. Features that cater to demanding integrators include a reinforced box with an easy pull, snag-free design, and tissue-wrapped conductors for quick stripping. The extra sturdy box has a large payout hole, so cable runs are fast and smooth while the patented REELEX technology pulls coils from the inside out to prevent twists, knots, and tangles that can slow job progress. This sturdy audio speaker cable also includes two-foot increment printed markers so you can determine how much cable has been used and how much is left in the box, making long cable runs easier than ever.

Marc Couture • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I will be building a new house with outdoor patio using in-ceiling speakers everywhere. 2 zones outside and 5 zones indoor. Can I use this cable for everything. I have no run exceeding 60 feet. Also, from the 5 zones indoor, I will install in the ceiling 2 pairs (front and back) for my home theatre system What model would you suggest knowing I have already an excellent subwoofer on the floor
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Marc: The 16 gauge will work fine for your application. We usually recommend going with 14 gauge when you have runs over 80 feet. Most components and speakers have no problem dealing with the heavier gauge when terminating them. If you are using indoor volume controls or Speaker Selector you will find that 16 gauge is the easier to terminate in the input/output connectors. If you are connecting a outdoor or in-wall sub woofer it is recommended to go with bigger gauges like 14 or even 12 gauge. TL/3992
dave • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I have a existing out door speaker system set up. I am moving the amplifier and additional 60 feet way. the existing wire is 14 gauge and has an 80 foot run to the speaker. I will leave the existing cable in place and just add to it to get to the new location of the amp. can I use 16 gauge on the new run from the amp to the existing wire
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Dave: You would need to use 14 gauge to match the rest of the system. Your wiring is only as good as its weakest link. TL/4086
Devin • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM What is the cross-section of these wires? I have an outdoor project planned and I wanted to get a water-tight fitting, which requires the cross-section in inches.
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
    Hi Devin: The cross-section is 1/4" or .25" TL/4239
Len • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Does this wire come in a black jacket?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Len: Our CL3/FT4 cables come only in White. What is your application for Black? tim@osdaudio.com TL/4261
Kyle • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM How many amps can this handle for low voltage lighting?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
HI Kyle: Our factory does not supply an amperage rating but does provide a UL number and UL style that covers the fire retardant jacket material. If your concerned check with the lighting manufacturer and see what rating they prescribe. In the interim I will contact our manufacturer and see if I can answer your question. I will post it if and when I receive an answer. TL/4296 Note we typically are concerned in distance versus gauge, 1 to 80 feet; 16 gauge, 80 to 200 ft; 14 gauge and above 200; 12 gauge. If it is low frequencies only like in a sub woofer than 14 gauge to 50 ft and 12 gauge above 50 ft.
