Dual Source Switching
The AMP300 also includes dual source switching to connect two audio sources and toggle between them for greater listening flexibility. Automatic source switching switches between connected sources with a priority signal-sensing feature, so if a DVD player is connected to input 2, then you decide to stream a movie through a game console, when the console is turned on, the AMP300 automatically switches to that source. The AMP300 also includes a variable delay control that lets you adjust the amount of time needed to "listen" for a signal from your main input, between 3 and 15 seconds. This prevents gaps between music tracks from accidentally switching your inputs. This high power amplifier includes two RCA signal level inputs so with the addition of an RCA-to-mini stereo cable (sold separately), you can connect your smartphone or other device.

Rated at 350 Watts per channel peak power (470 Watts Bridged Mono into 8 ohms), the AMP300 can be configured as bridged or stereo. I am currently using a pair of Bose 901 IV, can this AMP300 High Power 2-channel Stereo A/B Amplifier be compatible with the speakers?

I looked at the owner's Manual and did not see anything that suggested this was not the perfect match for these speakers. 8 ohm and rated power between 10 watts and whatever she can see. Would recommend using 14 gauge wire. Then sit back and enjoy. Make sure to follow the setup instructions.

How well will this amp do driving 2 cerwin Vega xls 215

I think it should do fine driving the single pair of Cerwin Vegas. If you think it needs more punch then you can add a second AMP300 and Bridge both to Mono so you have 435 watts per speaker. But try one first.

I am running 8 speakers with runs of 15 to 50 feet of speaker wire. 3 are outdoor and 5 indoor. I have a zone selector IS S8 into a Yamaha receiver RX-V373, I have added the Amp 300 but it keeps shutting off. What is the process of setting up and why does it keep shutting off?

I did not see anything about Impedance matching Devices like our SVC300 (Indoor Volume Controls) and OVC300 (Outdoor Volume Control). If you are depending on the ISS 8 zone speaker selector and its internal protection it maybe too much so the AMP300 is shutting down. Do you notice the AMP300 getting hot to the touch? After looking at the Yamaha RX-V373 I am assuming you are connecting to the Audio Output of the Yamaha Receiver. And that you are not using the Receiver for Home Theater just the front end of your whole house audio. Please let me know more about your system. No Volume Controls and are you using the AV Receiver for two channel whole House audio only. Note, typically do not recommend using the ISS series or DSM without Impedance matching Volume Controls. And based upon what you have told me our TSM8 eight zone speaker selector with selectable protection might be a better choice. The protection on the ISS and DSM when enabled cuts your power handling in half 140 to 70 watts. So let me know; tim@osdaudio.com.

hello, looks like you have everything I need/want ! I want to connect( 2) amp300 to your pre-amp. I have a turntable , an FM tuner , and cd player. I also have two sets of stereo speakers and an unpowered sub. I am new to all this , and want to know if I am going the right direction. Thanks, Steve

The AMP300 with the Pre One are a great combination. But you will have an issue connecting your passive sub woofer unless it has an internal passive crossover. The AMP300 will be plenty to power your two pair of speakers and your multiple sources connected to the Pre One. But check out the SMP250 a dedicated Sub woofer amplifier needed to drive your passive sub woofer. It would help to know what two pair of speakers you will be driving as well as the passive sub woofer. Maybe you can let me know what components you have (Brand and model). tim@osdaudio.com, then I can be more specific. It also seems like you have a couple more input options including the fourth input on the pre one and a second input on the AMP300.

Hi my name is Rickey
I am using a onkyo TX-NR676 to power my surround sound/stereo speakers in my living room. I am adding a pair Polk atrium 8's and a pair of Polk atrium 6's to my back patio.
I would like to add a out door sub down the road and some bed room,kitchen speakers. I recently purchased the AMP 300 and the ISS6 with Independence matching.I am also using 100 watt volume controls.how would you recommend wiring this set up and what kind of power am i going to see to my out-door setup. It is pretty simple, the ONKYO TX-NR676 has Zone 2 pre amp that you would connect to the AMP input #2 using a stereo RCA patch cord. Then you need to connect to the input connector of the ISS6 from the Speaker A output of the AMP300. I am assuming you purchased one of our Whole house audio bundles with an AMP300, ISS6 Speaker Selector and 6 SVC100 Volume Controls. technically to make this work you need an impedance matching volume control for each zone you have connected. So zone one for the Atrium 8, zone 2 for the Atrium 6 , zone 3 for the kitchen, zone 4 for one of the bedrooms (usually the master bedroom). The trick is the atrium outdoor speakers should have an OVC300 outdoor volume control for each pair (unless you will be mounting the volume control inside the house). You have to run the wire from the Zone output connector (There are three dual zone output connectors; Zone 1 & 2, 3 & 4 and 5 & 6). The easiest is to use a four conductor cable like a 16/4 CL3/FT4 rated cable run to each volume control. This is a single cable with four individual color coded jacketed conductors (red, black, white and green). Then from the volume control you you connect two conductor cables like our 16/2 CL3 rated cables. One to each speaker. one right and one left both (+/-). These are color coded red and black. Now depending on how many speakers you have connected you set the impedance matching on the Volume control either 1/2x, 4x or 8x. If you were just doing the two pair of speakers you would set the Impedance matching to 1/2X. When adding the kitchen and bedroom all would be set to 4X.
