is this one compatible with spectrum cisco 4742hd box ?
1 Answers
Hi Brenda: This IR Receiver works with boxes with a frequency of 38Hz. I could not find anywhere on line (including spec sheet or owner's manual) where the CISCO Spectrum boxes listed the frequencies at 38Hz or even 56Hz where it definitely would not work. TL/4643

I have a Arris cable box will the ir0104 work with this
1 Answers
Hi Guy: The IR 104 works on 38 kHz frequency only. If your box is 38 kHz it should work. IR Resources has a new dual frequency Receiver 38 kHz and 56 kHz. You can find it on Amazon. TL/4543

Does this work for the Cisco Digital Transport Adapter 170HD? Cisco spec's an "IR-57" extender cable that operates at 57 Khz.

Hi Steve: This IR is an older version that will only do 38KHz. Infrared Resources the manufacturer has a newer version that will do 30 to 60KHz. You will find it on AMAZON; https://www.amazon.com/External-38-56kHz-Receiver-Extender-EXPLORER/dp/B0107LT77S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1485562786&sr=8-4&keywords=ir+receivers. Good Luck TL/4195

My JVC LED TV IR sensor, is not working. Can I connect this IR receiver to my TV, so I can control volume and turning on and off my TV?...If not, do you sell something that will work?
1 Answers
Hi Carlos: First you need to determine a few things... The IR Sensor is not working on your TV, I am assuming with the JVC Remote control or your Time Warner or Direct TV universal Remote? Did you change the batteries on the remote that would not work? Have you gone into settings on the TV to see if you can turn the IR Sensor on/off? Does your TV have a input on the back for an IR Receiver like the IR0104; Does your owners manual have anything about adding an external Remote sensor? If you do not have your owners Manual you can find it on-line. I checked a couple of JVC televisions but did not see any with IR input usually a 3.5mm RCA connection (like a headphone jack on your smartphone). You might want to contact JVC customer support as well to discuss IR. I hope that helps TL/3743

Hi Milena: That would be a question for Verizon. But we know the IR0104 works with the Verizon HD 7232 P2 (manufacturer: Motorola) TL/3166

My cable box is about 75ft from the TV - outdoor TV under covered patio to indoor cable box. I have not seen any IR cables that long for sale. I heard I can use CAT5 but before I start splicing, thought I would ask. Thanks!

Hi Sean, Along with the 9ft IR Receiver Extender Cable, we also have a 25ft IR Extension Cable (link below). Something to consider. https://www.outdoorspeakerdepot.com/infrared-25ft-receiver-stereo-jack-extension-cable.html CS 2535

Will this work with a DirecTV H25-100 HD box? The box does have an input for an "external remote".
1 Answers
Hi Dan, The IR0104 is compatible with many different models of DVR boxes that are found on the website. Your DirecTV box is not listed on either the compatible or non-compatible lists. It seems possible that you would be able to use the IR0104 with an "external remote" input but that is something you would have to check with DirecTV directly. CS 2425

I have a Samsung box model SMT C5320 HD and I need to know if the IR0104 IR receiver ext cable can be used for my model.
1 Answers
Hi Graziella, The Samsung set top box does not have a direct IR hard wire input. The IRP-2 or IRP-3 would be your best choice for your application depending on how many other components you might want to control along with your set-top box. Maybe a Blu-Ray player or a game unit. The kit works with almost every component that features an IR sensor. The emitters from the kit cover the sensor so the signal is transmitted directly to the sensor of the desired component. If you Let us know what actual components you have in your system, we can assist you further. TL/MA - 1556
