I have a large area 20 x 20 & would like to use 4 -640TT speakers to cover it. How would I wire them so that they are all connected to the same stereo amplifier with the correct ohm's? I have already pulled 4- conductor wire to the first speaker location. How do I wire them from there? paralell or in series?

Hi Michael: You would want to wire these in Series-Parallel. You will need two conductor cable where you will only be using a single conductor. The result will be an 8-ohm load. Your power handling will go up, distortion will go down, and your sensitivity will be around 92 to 94 dB. I am sending you a drawing in a separate email. Attach to our outgoing mail gives me an error message. So you will see this email twice but the second will have an actual diagram using half the two conductor cable to wire all four speakers together. And it starts with your four conductors. Hi Bill: These speakers were created specifically for an application where you have a right (+/-) and left (+/-) stereo signal coming into a room where you only have space for a single speaker. So you would connect one pair of conductors to one set of inputs (+/-) and the second pair of conductors to the second set of inputs. Note: If you have a four conductor wire coming tot the speaker then connect the red wire to the positive and black wire to the negative. The n connect the white wire to the second + input and the green wire to the second negative input. This will give you a summed mono single stereo full range signal. You will also notice a switch that is labeled 8/16 ohm. If you connect both voice coils (the two inputs +/-) you will need to make sure the switch is set to 16 ohms. These speaker are Dual Voice Coil, with Dual Tweeters and have dual Application switch (8 or 16 ohm). The switch allows you to connect a pair of these speakers one for the right and the other for left channel, you would just connect one set of inputs for each speaker.The switch would be set at 8 ohm. Whether the switch is at 8 ohms or 16 ohms both tweeters play at the same time. So the advantage is when you use these as a stereo pair you increase the high frequency dispersion with the two tweeters per speaker.
