The OSD Audio ACE600 is a 6.5" two-way trimless in-ceiling speaker pair for whole-house music, TV sound and home theater surrounds. It gives you full, balanced sound from the ceiling while keeping floors, walls and shelves free of speaker boxes.

Each speaker pairs a 6.5" polypropylene woofer with a 3/4" PEI dome tweeter. The woofer handles the body of music, movies and voices; the tweeter adds clear, crisp highs. Frequency response is 50Hz - 20kHz, sensitivity is 88 dB and power handling is rated at 120W, with an 8-ohm load that works with standard stereo amplifiers, AV receivers and multi-zone systems.
The woofers use butyl rubber surrounds rather than foam. Rubber gives the woofer deeper bass and a wider frequency response, and it lasts roughly twice as long - about 25 years compared with 12 to 15 years for foam.
Like every speaker in the Architectural Ceiling Element (ACE) series, the ACE600 is trimless. A micro-flange grill is held on by strong magnets and sits close to the ceiling for a clean, flush finish. The grills are spray paintable to match any ceiling.
Installation needs no extra brackets. Cut a 7.80" hole, connect the wire to the spring-loaded binding posts, set the speaker in place and tighten the front screws to swing the built-in dog-ear brackets against the ceiling. Each speaker measures 8.86" in diameter with 3.54" of mounting depth.

Do I need an amplifier?
Yes. The ACE600 is a passive 8-ohm speaker. Connect it to any stereo amplifier, AV receiver or multi-zone system that drives 8-ohm speakers.
