A team OSD favorite, the AMP200 is a high current 2-channel amp with loads of features. This amp lets you home run (directly to the back of the amp) two pairs of speakers or 4 speakers total. Since it's high current, you can add up to 4 pairs of speakers (8 speakers total) by adding OSD speakers selectors such as the DSM4. Rated at 80 Watts per channel at 8 ohms, the OSD-AMP200 is overload stable so it's ideal for use anywhere clean power is needed. It also includes a dual source switching circuit. When you connect two independent sources number (say your iPod and a TV in another room) source one takes priority when it is active. When source one is turned off, source number two comes on. Note: You cannot play two sources simultaneously. For this feature you need a multi-channel amp like our MX1260. Step-up features rarely seen in amps of this price range include a built-in voltage meter, and front mounted volume and balance trim controls. 

High Performance, High Current Power 
Rated at 80 watts per channel at 8 ohms, and stable down to 2 ohms, the OSD-AMP200 is overload stable so it's ideal for use anywhere clean power is needed. It also includes a dual source switching automatic circuit. Step-up features rarely seen in amps of this price range include a built-in voltage meter, and front mounted volume and balance trim controls. 

AMP200 offers 80 watts RMS per channel of power, with bridgeable outputs for up to 250 watts RMS. A, B, or A+B speaker selector switches make managing connected outputs easy. And a signal-sensing power on feature lets the amp power up automatically when you power on your source. 

Automatic Source Switching 
The AMP200 can automatically switch between connected sources, thanks to a priority signal-sensing feature. So if you have your iPod connected to input 2, then decide you want to watch a movie, when the DVD player connected to the main input 1 is turned on, the AMP120 will automatically switch to that source. 

A variable delay control lets you adjust the amount of time needed to "listen" for a signal from your main input, between 3 and 15 seconds, so things like gaps between CD tracks won't accidentally switch your inputs. 

Works with Smartphones, iPods, and Other Portable Devices 
Use the AMP200 to connect your Smartphone or other portable music device (as long as you have a headphone jack.) The AMP200 includes two RCA signal level inputs marked as red for right and white for left. Using an RCA-to-mini stereo cable (sold separately), plug the 3.5mm stereo connector into the headphone output of your iPod or other portable device, then connect the RCAs to one of the inputs of the AMP200.

A HI George: There are two ways depending on the options available to the Subwoofer you are planning on using. The first connection is to connect your sub woofer to the Line 2 output of the AMP 200 featuring two female RCA connections for right (red) and left (white). This is called a signal/line (low) level or Pre Amplified. This is connected to the stereo inputs of the sub woofer. It is obviously a full range signal that is sent to the sub woofer, not LFE controlled (Low Frequency Effects) that you would associate with a sub output of an AVR (Audio Video Receiver). Note; the output of the Line 2 is limited to the input of Line 2. It essence it is a pass through of whatever is connected to Line 2 input. There is no signal from Line 1 input. The second option actually affects both line 1 and line 2 output. It is where you connect to the Speaker B output to a Powered sub woofer that has a speaker (high) level input. Use when line level outputs are not available from your receiver, pre-amp or power amp. Your existing stereo speakers can share these terminals allowing you to add bass to any stereo or home theater system. Do not use if Line level Inputs are connected. You could connect your speakers to Speaker A and your Sub woofer to speaker B. I hope that makes sense... TL/4624
Bill • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Q I have a Denon AVR- 1804 with an LFE output which I have been using to pass the split mono signal (split with y cable to L&R) signal to a Crown XLS-202 Amp. The Crown amp has been powering 2 TIC GS-50 Omni outdoor dual voice coil passive subwoofers.. The dual drivers on each sub are rated at 250 watts at 8 ohms. I have been running both subs, the DVCs wired in parallel for a 4 ohm impedence at 200 watts per channel with good results, but I would like to add 2 more of these DVC Subs for a total of 4 DVC subs. Is there any way to power all four of them with this Amp200 power amp alone, or would I need both power amps to accomplish this?

A HI Bill: I would recommend going with the AMP300 versus the AMP200. It is closer to performance of the CROWN Amp. Both are High current amplifiers which are 2 ohm stable and feature true audiophile discrete components (no IC's in signal path, large toroidal power supply, plenty of internal capacitance and Ample internal hest-sink to handle the current demand and accompanying heat. andy • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Q I have six zones pre-wired. one zone has 4 sets of ceiling speakers, and 5 zones have 2. there is a splitter already and all zones can play at the same time. I had an old sony amp for surround sound that was previously installed but quit working, and i'm looking to replace the amp. can you help?

A Hi Andy: Either the AMP 200 or AMP300 would work for your application. Both have the same platform just the AMP300 has double the power. You should look at adding our OSD Pre One Pre amplifier to give front end control to match your SONY Receiver. You could add a Amazon Dot/echo or Google Chrome-cast or really splurge and add a SONOS Connect for streaming content You can control from an app on your phone. I only want a simple bedroom setup .. so this shouldn't t be a complicated question :) After 30 years away from from listening to good music through a good home stereo setup, I'm planning to put together a simple system to listen to my favorite CDs and vinyl in my bedroom (14ftx18ft approx). Thought about this amp, with your preamp. 2 good bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer. Sometimes I'll use headphones (Grado Sr60). Gonna add a turntable later when I can get hold of a good one. Basically, Im a budget minded audiophile. I love stuff like Steely Dan and any well engineered rock album or CD. I thought the 300 might be overkill.. but maybe the 200 is too. What do you think?

A Hi David: You had me until we got to the Headphones. Neither of these components feature a headphone jack. We are currently developing a new step up pre amplifier with IR remote control and possible Headphone Jack. I will verify. The AMP300 is an excellent choice otherwise for your application. It is a true High Current Amplifier featuring a Powerful Toroidal Power Supply, Plenty of Internal Capacitance, All discrete components (no Ic's in Audio section) and ample internal Heat sink. It is 2 ohm stable. Fully complementary output devices are mounted to the internal heat sink. Note: The AMP200 has the same platform design just less power. TL/4793
