Dual Source Switching
The AMP300 also includes dual source switching to connect two audio sources and toggle between them for greater listening flexibility. Automatic source switching switches between connected sources with a priority signal-sensing feature, so if a DVD player is connected to input 2, then you decide to stream a movie through a game console, when the console is turned on, the AMP300 automatically switches to that source. The AMP300 also includes a variable delay control that lets you adjust the amount of time needed to "listen" for a signal from your main input, between 3 and 15 seconds. This prevents gaps between music tracks from accidentally switching your inputs. This high power amplifier includes two RCA signal level inputs so with the addition of an RCA-to-mini stereo cable (sold separately), you can connect your smartphone or other device.

Rated at 350 Watts per channel peak power (470 Watts Bridged Mono into 8 ohms), the AMP300 can be configured as bridged or stereo. In bridged mode, you can combine the left and right channels into one audio channel which bumps up the power to a whopping 470 Watts (8 ohms). When playing dual sources, switch to stereo mode which reduces the power to 350 Watts per channel. It is the only high current 2 ohm load stable amp in the market.

I have an onkyo amp with a zone two. I have 8 outdoor speakers on 4 zones 2 speakers a zone. All of this runs through a zone selector. Will this power the 8 outdoor speakers through my zone selector? The speakers are atrium 45's 80 watt. Will this make them more loud than my current onkyo M-282? I am looking for more volum?

What speaker selector are you using and are you using volume controls as well? The AMP200 will give you potentially more power but also some nice features like automatic source switching and both A and B speaker output.

We just bought a new house with speakers (and volume control switches) in 8 areas. Ideally we could select from a few different sources (computer, TV, iPad) and limit what areas got what (one area with TV while another listens to music).
Will this amp work?
What speaker selector would you pair with it?
Any chance I can replace an volume control with a pad that can control the music (I am reaching here...)?

We sell the AMP300 in both our 6 and 8 zone kits- In the 8 zone we group it with the ISS8- This would allow you to have two sources plugged in at once and listen to one or the other.
Take a look at our MX1260- it is a step above the amp and speaker selector system, allowing you to connect 4 sources and listen to them simultaneously. Although it is only for size zones it might work out better for you finding a different way to power that 8th zone.
Also if you have the option of running cat5 - the digital keypads on the Breath Audio and Channel Plus systems we sell in our whole house audio section are superior. So if you have some time give us a call @ 1.888.779.4968 if you have further questions

Hi Jeff:
Before you get started you need to examine one of the Volume Controls that are in the wall. Remove the knob and face plate pull it out of the j-box and see if there is a impedance matching setting. Best if you can actually take a couple of digital pictures of the Volume Control. This will tell us how the current system was configured and what we need to do going forward. It would help if you describe the speaker configuration and take a picture where the system will be setup and how the wires are home run back to the central location.

Hi want to know if I can hook 4 ohm speakers to this am?

Hi Chris,
Technically, you direct connect two pair of 4-ohm speakers to this amp, one pair to Speaker A and one pair to Speaker B. That would give you a 2-ohm load if you were playing both at the same time. This amplifier is a high current amplifier. What speakers are you looking at or what do you already have? If you provide additional information, I can be more helpful.
