A heavy-duty 350-Watt A/B two-channel dual source amplifier for use as a remote or single amplifier.
Dual Source Switching
The AMP300 also includes dual source switching to connect two audio sources and toggle between them for greater listening flexibility. Automatic source switching switches between connected sources with a priority signal-sensing feature, so if a DVD player is connected to input 2, then you decide to stream a movie through a game console, when the console is turned on, the AMP300 automatically switches to that source. The AMP300 also includes a variable delay control that lets you adjust the amount of time needed to "listen" for a signal from your main input, between 3 and 15 seconds. This prevents gaps between music tracks from accidentally switching your inputs. This high power amplifier includes two RCA signal level inputs so with the addition of an RCA-to-mini stereo cable (sold separately), you can connect your smartphone or other device.
Plenty of Power for the Price
Pair our AMP300 with the power-hungry speakers, and the sound quality will transform your listening experience. Rated at 350 Watts per channel peak power (470 Watts Bridged Mono into 8 ohms), the AMP300 can be configured as bridged or stereo. In bridged mode, you can combine the left and right channels into one audio channel which bumps up the power to a whopping 470 Watts (8 ohms). When playing dual sources, switch to stereo mode which reduces the power to 350 Watts per channel. It is the only high current 2 ohm load stable amp in the market.
Features
The AMP 300 also includes two sets of speaker outputs with front panel controls, auto-on signal sensing or 12-volt trigger, rear panel master level controls, dual line-level inputs with priority override switching and dual voltage of 110V/220V and auto signal sensing. This amp has a clean, brushed metal front panel with a volume control, power on and off button and a balance control knob to adjust the balance between the left and right channels and dial in just the right sound level mix. Special protection circuitry safeguards the amp from a short circuit.

Are you able to use speakers A and speakers B at the same time? If so, what is the power output while A+B are both on? I have this amp and the trigger out does not turn off unless you turn the AMP300 off with the power switch. Is there a "delay" once the amp goes into standby mode before the trigger out shuts off?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
HI Mike:
Two good questions in one, first there is no problem playing speakers A and B at the same time. The AMP300 is a true High Current amplifier that is 2-ohm stable. Technically you can drive three 8 ohm speakers in parallel. You could have two 8-ohm speakers connected to Speaker A and a single 8-ohm speaker to speaker B and the amp would see a 2.6-ohm load. You could drive a 4-ohm speaker on A and an 8 -ohm speaker on Speaker B with same 2.6-ohm as well. There is a reason why the Amplifier weighs . It features a high Power Toroidal Power Supply, plenty of internal capacitance, all discrete components in audio section and ample internal heat sink to help dissipate the heat created by the additional current demand. Regarding the second question on the 12V trigger I am assuming the trigger might have to see a total turn off versus just going into standby mode. I am not sure if the amp is in trigger mode that it even goes into standby mode. It may only be associated with the auto-sensing option. Usually, it takes 5 to 15 minutes to go to standby mode in auto sensing. We will have to test it to confirm.

I have 8 Polk atrium 5 speakers wired in series 4 are connected to the A side and 4 are connected to the B side. I have 2 Sonos connect units both hooked in to the amp. The goal was to be able to play one source to 4 and the other source to the other 4 speakers. At this point whatever I stream through the Sonos plays on all 8 speakers. Do I need to change the connections at the amp to make this function as planned?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Richard:
The problem you have is the AMP300 has Automatic Source Switching between two sources (Two SONOS Connects in your case). But it plays one or the other not both at the same time. What you needed is a separate amplifier for each SONOS Connect. The next question would be, do you want the option of playing all four pair from one SONOS Connect? Or each SONOS Connect just playing the same two pair? You really need a dedicated Amp for each SONOS either way. If you just want a SONOS Connect to be dedicated to two pairs of the Atrium 5 you might want to look at our XMP100 x 2 where you can connect one pair to Speaker A and the second to Speaker B (both speaker switches on the front would need to be pushed in at the same time). If you want more power like the AMP300 then look at swapping out for two AMP200, one for each the SONOS Connect. The AMP200 would provide the most output. You could connect 2 AMP200 each with its own SONOS Connect. The first one would connect to Input Line 2 input and then the SONOS Connect to Line 1 input of the second AMP200. Now you can connect the Line 2 0utput of AMP200 #1 to the Line 2 Input of AMP200 #2. This would allow you to play one SONOS Connect for all four pair (the second SONOS Connect would need to be turned off). You have 30 day performance guarantee on the AMP300. Note the XMP100 has the same option but the in and outs are labeled differently. Line #1 is labeled Interrupt and Line 2 in/out are labeled mains. The Atrium 5s are fairly efficient and do not need a whole lot of power to get them playing with its 91dBN sensitivity

I am having a contractor build me an outdoor patio in Las Vegas area. There will be an outdoor Tv cabinet also built. I am looking at placing 4 outdoor speakers maybe Polk, Bose, or Klipsch. I will need a stereo amp rated for outdoor and OSD 200 & 300 look like they may fit the bill. The summers get to 115 deg F. Can your amps take that amount of heat? I don’t see a temperature rating in the specs. Please advise...Jim
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Jim:
The AMP 300 would be the best. Outdoor you want more power. The thermistor that measures the heat on the circuit boards is rated at 95 degrees centigrade (203 F) before it would shut down. I am assuming you will be building it into a cabinet so it is not exposed directly to any moisture. Looking for ideal dessert outdoor speaker check out the AP650 with an IP rating at IP:6X 100% sealed from dust exposure. Check out the unique mounting bracket that swivels and tilts as well. You also have automatic source switching between Source #1 and Source #2. Source 1 takes priority and source 2 has a 3 to 15-second delay before it comes on. Note; if you want to add a subwoofer, there is a Thru output that plays whatever is connected to Input number 2 on the AMP300. Check out our new SMP500DSP Subwoofer Power Amplifier. We also have a couple of in-ground subs to match. Go big or go home...
Good luck
