The XMP100 is the digital Class D version of our popular AMP 120 amplifier. This amp will also power Dolby Surround Sound systems and enhance the power of OSD outdoor speakers. Automatic source switching enables users to connect more than one source to the amp, so, for instance, you could use it to power both a DVD player and an iPod. The XMP100 has the ability to automatically switch sources, as well, if you choose to go from listening to music on your iPod to watching a flick on a DVD player. The power amplifier has 75 watts RMS per channel and bridgeable outputs for 160 watts RMS. An input of 1.4 volts is needed to reach full output and the signal to noise ratio is 107dB (A-weighted). The Dual Source 2-Channel Stereo Amplifier XMP100 has front panel-mounted volume and balance knobs and comes with a two-year warranty.

    Connecting Your Smartphone is Easy!
A great feature of the XMP100 is the ability to connect your smartphone, iPod, or other portable music device (as long as it has a headphone jack). The XMP100 includes two RCA signal level inputs marked as red for right and white for left. All you need to do is purchase our inexpensive RCA to mini cable (see RCA audio cables under the audio/video cables tab). The mini 3.5 connector is plugged into the headphone output of your device then the RCAs are connected to one of the inputs of the XMP100. It's that easy!

Keith • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM How do i get both pairs of speakers working? I have a pair of in ceilings in master, and a pair of in ceilings in master bath. Both terminate in same location. I have the amp, but when I press speaker A on front panel, speaker B turns off. And vice versa. How do i get both A and B both pushed in so I can drive both sets? Also, the speakers were installed 4 years ago...I'm not entirely certain if they are 8 ohm only....what will happen if both driven by this amp?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
HI Keith: The XMP100 is the step up design to the OSD AMP120. The XMP100 is rated at 4-ohms so that it can drive two pair of 8-ohm speakers at the same time. To limit the OSD120 (8-ohm stable) to a single pair of speakers, we purposely designed the AB switch so that you could only press one button at the same time with the opposite button popping out. Most affordable custom home speakers rated at 8 ohms. You can confirm with the manufacturer. If you are comfortable that both speakers are 8-ohm, you will be able to push both buttons in at the same time on the XMP100. You will have to fiddle with the buttons to get them to both come out. But they will both play at the same time. The XMP100 is a class D amplifier with a Power Supply is 93% efficient (versus 50% for class A/B) so runs cooler. TL/5521
Peter • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Can I parallel bridge zone A to two 8 ohm speakers and simultaneously run zone B with an un-bridged pair of 8 ohm speakers utilizing this amplifier? Or does that cause a drop below 4 ohms?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Peter:You can only wire for one Bridged connection at a time either Speaker A or Speaker B. Note; a bridged output is a mono two-conductor connection that has to be 8 ohms. So it could not be connected to a pair of 8-ohm speakers unless wired in series (16 ohms, but that defeats the purpose of bridging the output in the first place, more power). You can connect one pair to Speaker A and a second pair to speaker B and play both at the same time, or you can bite the bullet and upgrade to the XMP300 and get a lot more power. If your speakers are different/unmatched, you could add external volume controls to one or both pair of speakers. Let me no more about your system if you need additional clarification. Darren • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I just purchased a Marantz SR7013 and will use all 9 amplified channels to power my 5.2.4 HT system (Polk S60s, S30, S15s, HTS12s, and MC80s).  I also have two pairs (4 speakers) Polk Atrium5's for the patio that have been home run to the location of the Marantz and another 2 pairs of Polk MC60's for other parts of the house that were home run to a closet elsewhere .  I ran a CAT5e between the closet and the Marantz. I plan to connect an XMP100 to Zone 2 on the receiver to power the outdoor speakers in 4ohms (press A/B down simultaneously) and another XMP100 to Zone 3 through an audio balun set.  Will this work? Is the XMP100 the right amp for my needs? When is gen 2 coming out? And lastly, do you also sell the baluns? Thanks!
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Darren:The XMP100 is an excellent amplifier but not sure how much of a match to your MARANTZ AVR. A better compliment for your outdoor patio speakers is our OSD AMP200 a true High Current Audiophile Power Amplifier. It features a class A/B design with a High Power Toroidal all-discrete internal components and no IC's in the audio path. It is 2-ohm stable and performs best at 4-ohm (the A and B speaker switches are meant to depress together at the same time). On the Zone 3 connection, I would recommend adding our NERO Streamer XD Integrated Power Amplifier. It features a 16-24 bit 192kHz internal DAC (It includes a free OSD Player App).TL/5634

Hi Darren:I would suggest some on the level of the Marantz Receiver for your POLK Atrium 5s. Something like our High Current Power Amplifier the OSD AMP200 that is stable down to a 2-ohm load (and front panel individual A and B speaker switches are meant to be depressed together). The XMP100 or are NERO Streamer XD would be the optimum integrated Power Amplifier connected to your Zone 3 or standing on its own.Good luckTL/5634
Charlie • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM can you use this amp with an OSD Audio Pre1 Preamp?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Charlie: Yes, the preamp-1 will work with the XMP100. It adds 1.5 signal gain to the XMP100, adds four inputs including Phono Preamp for MM Moving Magnetic Cartridge, 2 Aux, and a CD/DVD. It also offers adjustable Bass, Mid, Treble, and Loudness controls. Plus Mic mixer with a dedicated volume knob. Other features include Tape Monitor Loop for adding an Equalizer. A Mono, Low Pass Filter, Mute switch complete the choices. So if any of the features appeal to you, there is no problem adding the Preamp-1 to the XMP100 or XMP300.TL/5659
