Lifetime Tech Support

Separate three devices from a single port with this three-eye IR emitter. The cable includes a single 7-foot single wire that extends to 3-foot leads for a total length of 10 feet. This three-eye emitter is built tough and rated at 30 AWG. The thicker cable allows you to position the cable under the device and to the window without the worry of the cable pinching or tearing. Durable 3M adhesive is used to provide optimal security so it won't suddenly fall off like other brands. The emitter eye is specially designed to allow remote control IR signal to easily pass through. The unique color and shape of the eye shell help deflect sunlight and other spectrums that can interfere with operations. Another feature of the eye shell is it can easily be removed in case you want to place the emitter inside of the DVD player, stereo receiver etc.

Important Note: Our emitters and IR extension cables are compatible with most IR devices and name brand IR blocks, media centers, TiVO, etc. The device must have a 3.5mm nickel-plated mono jack to plug the IR emitter into (usually marked IR OUT). Be aware that this cable is not intended for any type of CATV, HD DVR or Set Top Box. This is an emitter and not a receiver! This product works with TiVO, NextGen, connecting blocks, and other IR extenders, repeaters. SLingBox requires our 2.5mm to 3.5mm mono adapter.

Lynn • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM How does this IR extender work?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Lynn, Our IR receiver/emitter devices let you hide electronic components behind closed doors and still operate the equipment. The triple emitter is an extender cable that delivers an IR signal directly to three components from an IR receiver. You'll need an IR receiver that is hard wired to an emitter that will be placed directly over the input sensor of the component you are trying to control. In the case of the three-eye emitter, you can control up to three separate components with three different remotes. We have an IRP-3 kit that features an IR receiver that has a dual sensor that works with either a 38kHz or 56kHz signal generated by an IR remote control. Infrared (IR), unlike Radio Frequency (RF), is based upon line of site. The sensor of the receiver must see the sensor of the remote. We're happy to help you choose the right device for your system so feel free to call customer service. TL/CL 1530

Hi, I just would like to know if it works on 5v? Thanks Stephane
Patrick • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I would like to have my TV in one room and run an IR extender through the wall to the cable box in the closet of the room behind the TV. What do I need in addition to this product to make that work?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Patrick, How many components do you want to control besides the cable box? We have a single hard wired receiver that can be extended up to 100 feet. We’ll need to know the make and model of your particular cable box (Motorola, Scientific Atlantic etc.). The hard wired receiver is limited to 38kHz and does not work with all set top boxes. We also have a receiver kit that will work with almost any component or multiple components. This features a receiver (that works for both 38kHz and 56kHz) and either a blaster, double, triple, quad or six emitters depending on how many components you need to control. It is not hard wired to the component; rather it features an emitter that is placed over the particular component’s IR sensor and when an IR command is broadcast to the receiver, it emits the signal directly to the IR sensor. These kits cover over 90% of all the applications. Please let us know more about your total system so we can recommend the right product for you. TL/MA - 1798
