    Impedance-Matching Protection Safeguards Amplifiers
To help protect expensive audio equipment, this 4-zone high-power speaker selector includes impedance-matching frequency protection circuitry that reduces subsonic signals so you can safely drive multiple pairs of speakers without going below the amp's impedance ratings which can cause it to overheat or shut down.

Martin Park • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I have [2 x 250W(RMS) @8 ohms] power amp and 4 pair of speakers [@8 ohms-50w RMS].All same model. SSVC4 model has impedance jumpers inside. Is it needed to change jumper into 'x1 or x2'? There manual read, ' These settings correspond to the number of speaker pairs you will be adding to each zone and should be adjusted accordingly. The default is 4X for each.' Is it good match with amp - ssvc4-speakers as I mentioned above?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Martin: The Impedance setting number corresponds to how many 8 ohm speakers you have connected in parallel to your Amplifier/Receiver. The SSVC4 features four outputs connected in parallel (so, 4X would be the setting if you have 3 or 4 zones hooked up). If you only connect to 2 of the zones, then the Impedance setting would be 2X. Now, If you hook up a single pair of speakers to Zone 1 and Zone 3 and then connect two pairs of speakers to both zones 2 and Zone 4 so you would have six pairs of 8-ohm speakers connected in total to the SSVC4. The setting would be 8X for all four zones. Note: If you have 4-ohm speakers you need to calculate these as two 8 ohm connections. TL/5338
Dustin • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Is this rack mountable, as in does it come with the tabs? I have the preamp which had the ears to rack mount, so I wanted to Kane sure this came with the tabs as well
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Dustin: We do not have rack mount option for the SSVC4 speaker selector. The Pre-one has rack ears built into the front face plate. I can honestly say this is the first request I have seen for rack mount ears for the SSVC4. Standard 1U rack space is 1.75", the SSVC4 is 2.75" an oddball size. I am not sure you could find universal rack mounts. Depending on the rack manufacturer there may be a shelf option available for components without rack ears. Sorry about that TL/5345

HI Dustin: The SSVC4 does not come with Rack mount ears whereas the Preamp has a faceplate where rack ears are integrated.
Jesse Sasser • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Help I bought a house that has a sscv4 three sets of speakers are in the wall now i don't know about what power source I need for the ssvc4 to turn my speakers on Please help if you can
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Jesse: You need an amplifier like our AMP300 or the newer Class D XMP300. Then you need to decide on a source to connect to the AMP. Can you tell me which speakers you have and which rooms? I am assuming since they used the SSVC4 which features internal Impedance matching Volume Controls then your speakers are wired directly to your central location. I can provide additional help but would need to know more about your system. There are more choices than ever for sources and more on the way. Maybe if you could send me an image of the wiring to your SSVC4. My email address is tim@osdaudio.com. Also, include a contact phone number and the time best to reach you to discuss further. I can supply you with info and wiring diagrams. Note: I am located 3 hours behind you here on the West Coast. TL/5347
