Note: The wireless subwoofer kit will enter into standby mode 17 minutes after there's no signal.
You are correct; there does not appear to be a dedicated preamp or Sub output. And there are two Tape Monitors and a VCR tape out but only the VCR 2. So I think before you purchase the WSK100, you will want to see if either of the Tape Monitors are active. I believe the Tape Monitors on some Receivers needed to complete the loop of having both the Input (Play) and Output (REC) hooked up for them to work. I would try connecting the Paradigm directly to the Tape 1 output to see it is active no matter what source you have selected. See if the TAPE 1 output is playing music even if you do not select the Tape Monitor found on the front panel. If that does not work, then connect to Tape Monitor 2. If the Paradigm sub works, then you should be able to add a WSK100 connected to the TAPE Monitor that works. No reason to buy the wireless option if there is no output from the Tape loops of the CARVER.
Please let me know if it works; firstname.lastname@example.org.
Or anything else
The WSK 100 is a wireless solution for a Powered Subwoofer where you have a problem running a low-level signal cable (preamp) from your Audio Video Receiver to a dedicated location for your Powered Subwoofer. The WSK100 features a transmitter that connects to your Subwoofer output on your AVR. It broadcasts a wireless signal to the WSK100 Receiver which sits on top of your Powered Subwoofer. You typically need a dual AC outlet, one for the Powered Subwoofer and the second for the power supply for the WSK100 Receiver. Then you connect an RCA single mono sub cable. But you mentioned you wanted something to connect to your Surround Channel Speakers. That would be our WRSK250 which features a Wi-Fi Transmitter which connects to either the speaker (high) level outputs for channel 4 and 5 or links to the preamp (low) signal level. The Wi-Fi Receiver features a built-in 2x25 watt power amplifier for the Left and Right Surround Speakers. There is also a subwoofer connection between the transmitter and Receiver as well. The WRSK250 would be ideal based upon your application.
