For commercial speaker installations only, this 8" dual cone speaker with 6 oz. magnet features a dual 70/25V transformer and white metal grille combination. The transformer, which is wired and mounted, has 5, 2.5, 1, 0.5, and 0.25 Watt taps. A version of this speaker with a volume control and grille combination can be found under model number OSD-C1090VK.

What are all the different colored wires for? I am lost. Not sure which one is hot and which one is ground. Help?????

Answer:

Good question! The wire labeled Com or Common is your negative lead (black wire). You then choose the wire to connect your positive lead (red wire) to based on what wattage setting you want that particular speaker to run at.

Each speaker also comes with an instruction manual equipped with a diagram to explain this process.
