Doug Posey, DVM • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Is only one speaker Bluetooth enabled, and the other one is a "slave" and must be hardwired to the other speaker, or can you be totally wireless if running off of batteries ? Thanks, Doug Posey
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Doug: You will still need the second speaker to have true stereo sound whether you use batteries or AC power. You could purchase a BTR800TT which is a single Dual Voice Coil Rock speaker that features a summed Mono Stereo signal with no external slave speaker. It is totally wireless except you have to supply power with the external power supply plugged into an AC outlet. It does play a full range signal with both right and left channels combined Sorry about that. TL/4108
Debra • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I see now that it must be plugged in, my question is only one speaker has to plugged in and the other is paired and don't need to be plugged in or do they both need to be plugged in ?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Debra: One speaker we call the master (the heavier of the two) has a connection for a external Power Supply which at one end is plugged into an AC outlet and the other connects directly to the Master speaker. This speaker needs power for both the Internal Bluetooth Receiver and stereo power amplifier. There is also an output on the Master Speaker for a speaker wire that needs to run between the Master and Satellite Speaker (the lighter of the two speakers). It is also included in the kit along with the Power supply. The wireless connection is between your Bluetooth enabled device (Smartphone or Tablet) and the Master Speaker where you pair up between the two. Good Luck TL/4366
bill coleman • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM we want to get wireless speakers that can be used with our tv cable service, we like the rock ones .. any suggestions
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Bill: We used to have 2.4 GHz wireless rocks before Bluetooth took over. The 2.4 GHz featured a Transmitter that could be plugged into your TV output then would transmit a wireless signal to the master speaker which featured the Wireless Receiver and 2 channel stereo amplifier and a connection to wire a satellite speaker so you could have right and left stereo separation. The early wireless had issue with many home wireless networks so that was a problem. The good thing was you could have a single transmitter send signal to multiple Wireless Receivers so you could have multiple pairs of speakers. Bluetooth is limited to the output of the internal amplifier after the Bluetooth Receiver (typically 2 channel only). So in most cases you are limited to one pair of speakers. We do have a wireless kit that was created to power surround speakers. It features a 2.4 GHz transmitter and a 2.4 GHz Receiver with a built in 25 watt stereo amplifier. You would have to find a dry spot where you can plug into power.then run speaker wire to the two rock speakers. The Transmitter would connect to the low level speaker output on your TV.. The Amp/Receiver has a volume knob and also a sub output. Checkout the WRSK-250. TL/4383
Daniella • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Simple question, is it wireless or does it need to be plugged in? Im looking for completely wireless stone speakers.
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
HI Daniella: These speakers are a stereo pair of rocks that feature a master rock which has an internal Bluetooth Receiver and two channel stereo amplifier with one channel from the amp powering the single internal 2 way coaxial speaker. The second channel is used to power the second or satellite speaker which needs atwo conductor speaker wire to connect the master and satellite speaker. The Bluetooth and Power amplifier in the Master speaker need power from an external power Supply that is plugged into a AC outlet. I have not seen a outdoor speaker like this that has a Solar panel built in to supply your power. And you would still need connect the second speaker. So, no this is not 100% wireless only your connection between your Bluetooth enabled device and the master speaker . Sorry about that. TL/4467
Ken • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Will these speakers piar with BOSE soundtouch 10 with Bluetooth?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Ken: I do not believe the BOSE system transmits a signal but is setup only to receive from other Bluetooth enabled devices like tablets or smartphones. Having said that I believe there are new smartphones (like the new Samsung Galaxy 8). This was from an on-line question: The Galaxy S8 has quite a few new and interesting features that users may or may not know about, but arguably one of the most useful is the ability to connect your new handset to two different Bluetooth devices at once. The process of setting up two Bluetooth devices on the Galaxy S8 is actually extremely straightforward. Simply pair the first unit you’re using, then go to pair the second one, and the phone will ask if you want to enable “Dual Audio”. I’m not entirely sure why Samsung decided to include this as a toggle-able switch, but you can turn it on or off depending on whether or not you want to have the functionality available. We tested the dual Bluetooth functionality on over-the-ear headphones, in-ear headphones, and Bluetooth speakers, and came away quite impressed with what this phone can do. When you enable the functionality on the handset it warns you that one device may be slightly quieter than the other one, but we were hard pressed to find much of a difference. We listened to the right and left earcups of the same pair of headphones that were separately connected, and while there was a difference in audio gain between the two, it was extremely minimal. If you’re player 2 in this situation, you won’t need to worry about getting a sub-par experience. This is the one I heard about, not sure who else offers this feature but I am sure it will just be a matter of time before others have the feature. Good luck: TL/4576
