OSD Audio's BTP-525 wireless patio speakers from Outdoor Speaker Depot - an easy plug and play choice for outdoor sound systems. These speakers are IP54 rated and feature a frequency response of 38Hz-20kHz +/- 10dB, making them perfect for any outdoor setting. With a power handling of 100W, impedance of 8 Ohms, and sensitivity of 89 db, these speakers deliver a powerful, clear sound. The speakers come equipped with Wireless BT version 5.0 and are compatible with A2DP standard, making it easy to connect your Wireless BT-enabled device to the speakers. The gold-plated spring-loaded binding posts and full motion bracket make for easy installation. The speakers also feature a composite resin low resonator cabinet and powder-coated rust-resistant aluminum grille, making them durable and long-lasting. The power supply length is 3' 5" from plug to transformer and 15' 5" from transformer to speaker. The speakers come in a pair and are available in black or white. The speakers also come with a 1 year warranty. Weather resistant cap is added to protect the speaker connection and additional protection near the ocean is suggested by applying Clear Coat (spray paint only, not brush) to the grills.
Helpful tips:
1) Determine the ideal location where the Patio Speakers are not exposed directly to the elements. Note: speakers typically should be placed between 8 to 12 feet apart for proper stereo separation.
2) The Master Patio Speaker needs to be located near an AC outlet where you can connect the Power Supply to the Master Speaker in order provide the electrical current needed for the Internal Stereo Power Amplifier and Wireless BT Receiver.
3) The Pairing speaker must be connected to the Master Speaker with the 10-foot Speaker Cable that is supplied with the kit. The length of the speaker cable can be cut down for an exact fit but should not be extended beyond 30 feet

How do you turn the speakers on. I want to hang them about 9 feet off the ground under our awning. Do they have a remote? Or do you need to push a power button on the speakers?

Hi Larry:
There is an on/off switch in the back of the Primary speaker that you typically leave on all the time. I have suggested adding an outdoor remote-controlled outlet so you can turn the plug on or off with your phone. You would plug your BTP525 power supply into the AC plug. That would also make sure that someone would not be able to sync up to another Bluetooth Transmitter.

Hi, Im looking for a similar speaker kit like your BTB525 but with an AUX input for a chromcast audio add on. Do you carry anything like this? it would be for year round outdoor use.

We have a NERO Stream WRA outdoor Integrated AMP/Preamp with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth plus a line input. The NERO Stream WRA could drive two pairs of AP525 (the same speakers used for the BTP525).

How do you control the volume for the BTB525 Bluetooth speakers? Use your phone?

Hi Randy:
There is no volume or gain control on the BTP-525. The volume level depends on the device you are transmitting from when you pair with another device like your smartphone. You control the volume level with the volume levels of the phone. You could also connect with device like an ALEXA Echo Dot where you can select Bluetooth Transmitter and you would pair with the Echo Dot and control the volume level there as well. The Dot seemed to be able to play louder than my smartphone.

The new BTP525 and BTP650 features Bluetooth Version 5.0 which means they offer the best Bluetooth connectivity range based upon your application.This is accorcing to Bluetooth industry: Bluetooth 5 has four times the operating range of Bluetooth 4.2, boasting a maximum reach of up to 800 feet/240 meters with direct line of sight, or about 40 meters/131 feet in typical indoor use. This means you can transmit audio to speakers over greater distances, with fewer dropouts. The Key words are with direct line of sight.

Can I connect a subwoofer to this unit?

Technically you can. As long as you have a waterproof housing for the subwoofer amplifier like our SMP200 powering a passive outdoor sub like our FORZA10 Patioo/Deck Sub. You would connect the speaker wire from the (+/-)speaker outputs of the master speaker. You would then connect to the speaker level input input of the SMP200 and connect to the left speaker output of the Sub amp with a two conductor cable connect to the satellite speaker. The FORZA10 connects to the mono speaker output of the SMP200. The low pass signal would be limited to just the left channel from the Master speaker. Not the best solution but better than no sub at all.
