If this is being used outside, should I use banana plugs or bare wire, and do I need to install a weatherproof receptacle cover over it to protect it from the elements? Thanks.

I would recommend using a Weatherproof receptacle cover and then the bare wires since you may have height restrictions with the banana plugs.

Is the insert separate from the wall plate or have they somehow attached? Looking to install this is a multi-gang box. Curious why OSD doesn't sell this as just an insert for a little cheaper so people can choose the wall plate they want…

I believe we have 10% deal going on which would easily cover the cost of the outer plate. The big expense is the 8 two way binding posts and insert plate. The outer plate is cheap.

Can they terminals be removed from the plate and swapped out with other terminals?
