The SSVC4 is low-profile table top volume controls with individual A/B input selectors for each listening zone. The SVC300, a 300 watt autoformer volume control is utilized in each SSVC for uncompromised sound quality and performance. The screw down terminals to 14 gauge cable. The SSVC's feature 16 gauge steel construction with our durable black wrinkle powder coating and gray silk-screening. Compatible with all high-power amps up to 300W, the front-mounted master A/B switch allows you to toggle between two audio sources; for instance, switch from music streamed from your tablet or receiver with just a push of a button.

Hi Shawn: This Speaker Selector features four indivdual Impedance Matching Volume Controls (one for each zone) that are set to 4X. It is meant to connect a 8 ohm pair of speakers for each zone. It also features Dual source with both an A/B and On/Off switch per zone. The European style removable input/output connectors help when tightening the connections. I use it in my own house. TL
Alex • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM The name of the unit says 300W, but the user guide indicates 100W per channel! Which is correct? Can I connect it to a 170W/per channel receiver?

Hi Alex: This will work fine with your 170Watt per channel receiver. It is 100watts with 300 watts peak per channel per each built in Volume Control per zone. TL
Smokey • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I'm looking at the specs at the SSVC4, does this come in a D-100 and D-300 series like the SSVC6? The specs on the SSVC4 states 180w max per channel. But it also states in description 300w. The SSVC6 D-100 and D-300 states 180w max and 360w max respectively. I would really like 360w per channel but only need 4 channels? Thanks in advance Smokey

Hi Smokey: 180 watts would be the RMS or nominal rating. 300 watts would be peak. The unit features (4) 100 watt per channel internal Impedance Matching volume controls. Are you planning on only using two zones or four channels or four zones and eight channels. It takes two channels (left and right +/-) for a stereo zone. I am assuming you are utilizing eight channels and need the four zones. I believe the SSVC4 should be able to handle your application. TL
Jon • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I am considering a sound system with 3 separate pairs of outdoor speakers around my pool. I am also looking at a dual coil sub-woofer for the pool area. Wouls the SSVC-4 Speaker Selector be a good choice for me? Can I use one of the "zones" to control the volume of my sub-woofer?

Hi John: if your subwoofer is passive with a built in crossover you will have no problem running the subwoofer from anyone of the four zones (powered by the same source as your three pairs). Even if you were to run a separate subwoofer amplifier you could connect it to the SSVC4 as Source B with your receiver/amplifier connected to Source A. So, yes this Speaker Selector will work for you. Another choice is use our DSM4 speaker selector with Dual Source as well but no internal Volume Controls. You could connect a dedicated outdoor volume controls in line for each of the three pair of outdoor speakers plus another Volume Control for the Subwoofer. These would be similar to the Impedance matching Volume Controls found in the SSVC4. You would set the impedance matching setting to 4x. You would run 16/4 or 14/4 from Receiver to Speaker Selector the out to each Volume Control then two conductor from the Volume Control to each speaker. I give you the alternative since we are back ordered on the SSVC4 until July. The Outdoor Volume Controls are OVC300 (white or Grey housing). Our CL3 rated speaker wire is also rated for direct burial and comes in 16, 14 and 12 gauge versions both in 2 and 4 conductor. We also recommend our Aqua Blue terminating connectors rated for direct Burial as well (filled with Silicon). Good Luck TL

Hi Chris: Check your owners manual or let me know what make and model Receiver you have. Most will allow you to use it as a 2 channel receiver. They usually mark the Front Right and Left speaker as Speaker A just for this application. They will be the channels that would have a full range signal output so that is where you would connect the SSVC4. If you are still unsure, let me know the make and model of the Receiver. You may have a second zone output setting which may connect to the channels 6 and 7 (if you have a 7.1 AV Receiver) which is another place you may be able to connect to the SSVC4. TL
