Can you answer a couple of questions I have about this product? 1. With a TV connected with optical cable, will the TV remote control the volume on the SoundSole? 2. Is there any way to adjust treble or bass? For example, if the bass is too boomy. 3. Will the SoundSole go into Standby mode if there is no signal after a certain amount of time? Or do I have to manually turn it on and off. Mike

Hi Mike: Good question, not sure about whether you have an option to have Fixed where your TV remote does not control the volume or variable where the TV remote would change the volume levels. You need to check the owner's Manual of the TV you are connecting to and see if you have the option of picking Variable or Fixed output. Most of the newer TV's give you both options. Regarding the Fiber Optic you will also need to set the output to PCM audio and check again with your Owner's manual to see if you have the choice between variable and Fixed. Regarding your second question on the Bass and Treble there are both plus and minus buttons on the remote control of the Soundsole for Bass and Treble. So you should be able to turn down the Bass there. Note: that may also be tied in with the first question, if you have Variable output can Bass and Treble be controlled by the TV's remote as well if available on the TV remote. The Soundsole does not have a standby mode, the fact it does not have an on/off switch on the box itself or a manual switch that would give you a choice of normal on or auto sensing tells us it may not be an option. The only on/off switch is on the remote itself. I know this for a fact since I have one of these Soundsole boxes under my second monitor in my office (connected to the computer by 3.5mm mini to RCA cables). If you do not have your original owner's manual for your TV most all TV manuals are available on line directly from Manufacturer. Good luck TL/ 3718

Does anyone know how to hook up my RCA 55 tv to this system. The tv has a digital output but it is an orange single coax jack. I also have an earphone jack. Thanks Robert

Hi Robert: You can connect your headphone jack to the 3.5mm input line #1. You will need an Aux cable which is 3.5mm Stereo RCA to 3.5mm Stereo RCA. It has two black strips on the connecting pin. I am surprised you do not have standard analog RCA output on your RCA. Can you email me at tim@osdaudio.com and tell me the model #. Thank You TL/3811

Can I use these outdoors? And, can I use multiple of these in the same room with different sources?
1 Answers
Hi Mark, You are able to use these outdoors but they are not weather resistant, so you would need to bring them indoors after each use. The Soundsole has its own source input so it is possible to run multiple in one room with different sources. It's a really neat product and we're glad to see your interest. You will definitely enjoy it! Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks! CS 2472
