OSD Audio ACE670 6.5" Angled LCR Trimless In-Ceiling Speaker, 90W, 1" Pivoting Tweeter, Paintable Magnetic Grill, White
The OSD Audio ACE670 is a 6.5" angled LCR (left, center, right) trimless in-ceiling speaker that keeps the imaging and staging regular down-firing ceiling speakers lose. Its woofer is fixed at a 15-degree angle to aim sound toward the listening area, and a pivoting tweeter gives you even more control over placement.
- ANGLED FOR BETTER IMAGING: The 6.5" woofer is fixed at a 15-degree angle to aim sound at your seats, keeping imaging that down-firing ceiling speakers lose. Angled design suits overhead channels in immersive surround formats such as Dolby Atmos®.
- PIVOTING TWEETER: The 1" pivoting aluminum dome tweeter fine-tunes where the highs go, so dialog and effects stay clear from overhead. Carbon fiber composite woofer, 45Hz - 20kHz, 89 dB sensitivity, 90W handling.
- TUNE IT TO THE ROOM: A front-mounted contour switch lets you tailor the bass and treble to the room and your taste after the speaker is installed - no need to pull it back out of the ceiling.
- BUILT TO LAST: A butyl rubber surround gives deeper bass and wider frequency response, and lasts about twice as long as foam - roughly 25 years versus 12 to 15. Gold-plated 5-way binding posts keep connections secure.
- TRIMLESS AND EASY TO INSTALL: A spray-paintable magnetic micro-flange grill sits flush to the ceiling, and built-in dog-ear brackets lock in from the front. 8.12" cutout, 8.76" diameter, 4.5" depth. Sold as a single speaker.
- WARRANTY: Backed by OSD Audio's 10-year warranty.
Use the ACE670 for front left, center and right channels where wall speakers will not work, or as front, rear and side surrounds in a 5.1 or 7.2 home theater. Angled design suits overhead channels in immersive surround formats such as Dolby Atmos®. Because the sound is aimed, you can mount the speakers where the ceiling allows and still get focused sound at the seats.
Inside, a sturdy 6.5" carbon fiber composite woofer pairs with a 1" pivoting aluminum dome tweeter. Frequency response is 45Hz - 20kHz, sensitivity is 89 dB and power handling is rated at 90W. A front-mounted contour switch lets you tailor the bass and treble to the room after installation.
The woofer uses a butyl rubber surround, which gives deeper bass and a wider frequency response than foam and lasts about twice as long - roughly 25 years compared with 12 to 15. Gold-plated 5-way binding posts give a secure connection to any 8-ohm amplifier or AV receiver.
The trimless Architectural Ceiling Element (ACE) design is flush mounted and hardly noticeable. The micro-flange grill is held on by strong magnets and is spray paintable to match the ceiling. Built-in dog-ear brackets make installation quick: cut an 8.12" hole, wire the speaker, set it in place and tighten the front screws. The speaker measures 8.76" in diameter with 4.5" of mounting depth.
Sold as a single speaker with a spray-paintable magnetic grill. Passive - an amplifier or receiver is required. Backed by OSD Audio's 10-year warranty.
