The OSD Audio ACE870 is an 8" angled LCR (left, center, right) trimless in-ceiling speaker for home theaters that want focused, room-filling sound without speakers on the wall. Along with crisp, detailed mids and highs, the ACE870 delivers impressive bass, thanks to its 8" carbon fiber composite woofer and a heavy-duty, efficient magnet structure that focuses energy within the voice coil gap. A butyl rubber surround gives the woofer more excursion for deeper bass and a wider frequency response.
The 1" aluminum dome tweeter pivots, so you can aim the highs toward the seats, and a front-mounted contour switch lets you tailor the bass and treble to the room after installation. Frequency response is 35Hz - 20kHz, sensitivity is 88 dB (1W/1m) and power handling is rated at 175W.
Use the ACE870 for front left, center and right channels, or as side and rear surrounds. Angled design suits overhead channels in immersive surround formats such as Dolby Atmos®. Gold-plated 5-way binding posts give a secure connection to any 8-ohm amplifier or AV receiver.
The ACE870 installs easily with four easy-to-lock dog-ear brackets and includes a cut-out mounting template. Cut a 9.87" hole, wire the speaker, set it in place and tighten the brackets. The speaker measures 11.5" in diameter with 5.37" of mounting depth. The spray-paintable magnetic grill sits flush to the ceiling for a clean, trimless finish.
