The OSD Audio ICE600TTWRS is a 6.5 inch weather resistant in-ceiling speaker that delivers stereo sound from a single location. It is made for spaces where a pair of speakers will not fit, such as bathrooms, closets, hallways, laundry rooms and small covered porches.
A dual voice coil woofer lets both channels of a stereo signal drive one 6.5 inch polypropylene cone, while two 1 inch polycarbonate dome tweeters, one for each channel, keep highs clear and detailed. Just connect the left channel conductors to one set of inputs and the right channel conductors to the other.
Built for high moisture areas, the woofer uses a Santoprene surround that stands up to heat, cold and humidity without hardening or cracking, and the aluminum grille is rust resistant. Use it indoors or under covered outdoor eaves and patios. With 150 watts of power handling and 89 dB sensitivity, it works with most stereo amplifiers and receivers.
Built-in dog ear clamps grip the drywall as you tighten the screws, so no mounting brackets are needed for retrofit installs. The grille can be spray painted to match your ceiling. For best results, use CL3 or FT4 rated in-wall speaker wire, 16 gauge up to 100 feet and 14 gauge for longer runs. This is a passive speaker and requires an amplifier or receiver.
