We needed to add volume controls for single speaker (non-stereo application) locations throughout our office and this volume control is perfect. It is simple to install, looks great and feels solid. The wire connector plate slides off the switch so you can screw down the connections without holding the switch in your hand. The only thing that would make it better would be "markings" on the knob and plate to show how low/high the volume is set. Without these, you have to physically turn the knob completely off or full on to figure out where it is currently set. - btl
