I have a daisy chain of three bose 102 speakers rated at 25W on a 70V system. I do not see a watt rating on this volume control. Could this one handle 75W to 100W

Hi Rich,

The 70V Mono Volume Control is rated at a nominal 10W. What is the total wattage of your 70V amplifier? If you are setting the taps at 25W, I am assuming you are running a 75 to 100 watt amplifier. The BOSE speaker also features 2, 4,8,16 in addition to the 25W setting. Are you looking to connect a single Volume to control all three speakers or three volume controls (one for each speaker)? I believe if you are utilizing a volume control per speaker ,you should have no problem with this volume control.

I need a 70V volume control for outside use. can this be used outside? and if not, do you make an outside 70V volume control?

Hi Bill,
Although we do not have a outdoor 70V volume control we do have a waterproof box that would seal off an indoor one if you wanted to use it outside.

We needed to add volume controls for single speaker (non-stereo application) locations throughout our office and this volume control is perfect. It is simple to install, looks great and feels solid. The wire connector plate slides off the switch so you can screw down the connections without holding the switch in your hand. The only thing that would make it better would be "markings" on the knob and plate to show how low/high the volume is set. Without these, you have to physically turn the knob completely off or full on to figure out where it is currently set.
