Before I bought the RS850TT stero rock speaker, I listened and compare it with Niles stereo rock speaker at a local store. Niles sounds very good indoors, but when you take it outdoors it lost its clarity, you can't hear any mid range at all! The RS8500TT sounds perfectly outdoors, the bass has a nice damping effect, the mids and highs are very smooth and clean. Overall love this speaker and price. - Steve
O.M.G. this speaker is the best. I was a little hesitant, because it is much cheaper than Niles rock speaker, WOW so much for your money. I would recomend these to anyone. - Dave
Bass response is phenomenal, driving it using the OSD MI6 amps, very good clarity. My Neighbor has Niles RS8SI which she paid for over $400, and mine is just good as hers. - Tim
This is my second purchase from OSD. Couldn't be more pleased. Very well built, sound is excellent. I am running it off of my Denon DRA-697ci with outstanding results. I am so pleased I will probably purcase more, along with a speaker selector and some volume controls. My AP850's (purchased over 2 years ago) still sound amazing, and I still get lots of complments on them. - Philip
I don't normally write recommendations. But, let me assure anyone shopping that these speakers will surpass many Bose speakers. I first heard this claim from another reviewer. I purchased one and set it in my living room for a week and turned of my Bose speakers all together. The audio surpassed my Bose 301's. I now have two of these custom wired into my main receivers inside our house. The audio output is very nice and surrounding outdoors with no complaints for highs or lows. I would recommend spending a few dollars extra and getting the AP850, you are not likely to be disappointed. - Anonymous
