I had speakers mounted under the eaves on my house and really had to crank up the volume to hear them, but these rock speakers fill my big yard with full rich sound , even at low volumes. Great job at reasonable price. - Tommy Buckbro

Although I purchased these a few years ago from Outdoor Speaker Depot, I felt the need to review them again since listening to these while working in the yard. They withstand the Cincinnati winter and still fill the entire neighborhood with clean, full sound. Amazing quality at an unbelievable price. This pair combined with a pair of the 6.5" around my small patio allow for theme park quality sound! - Greg

I bought these speakers to replace my existing outdoor speakers which seemed to fry over the winter. Since I bought thicker cable for these rocks I had to redrill my holes to the basement to fit the cables thru, but I finally got that squared away, and now I pondered what should I play first. Ive been collecting records since I was a kid, and then I bought my 1st CD player in 1983 so my choices were endless. Then I finally made my decision and put on David Live, which isnt exactly the best sounding CD, however there was just something special about the live performance and being outside in the backyard; the music just flowed and sounded fresh like when I first played the lp 33 years ago. I may be getting old, but these speakers made me feel young again. The bass is clean, the midrange and treble are well balanced. I have a good size back yard, but these babies can crank. i purchased a pair of these speakers approx. 5 years ago to use outside around our pool. they have worked wonderfully and provide crisp sound and decent bass. they really sound good when played loud. probably would be even better if i had them hooked up to a decent source and not the cheap, bookshelf stereo system we use outside. the speakers look good in the landscape as well. this summer, one of the speakers just stopped working. i called customer service and they said sometimes the drivers go out and they could sell me one but i would have to take the bottom off and replace it. no big deal, but i'm busy and just went ahead and bought another set of speakers and then swapped out the bad speaker for one of the new ones and i have another new one waiting in case i have the same problem again. given that the speakers sit outside in the elements all year long and i don't cover them in the winter, i'm not upset that one of them stopped working. i just wish i could have purchased a single speaker as a replacement, but they only sell the HF 14s in pairs. - stevedug

Ok. I'm dropping a note. Mostly good news. The hf14 sound unbelievable. Fill up my pool like I cant believe and for less than $200/pair. Wow!!! The hf9 also sound so good for the size. - Neil

For the price of these I was very skeptical and I do not like to buy speakers online without being able to listen to them. Let me tell everyone I was nothing short of amazed when I hooked these up. Excellent sound and I would put these up against speakers costing 5X as much. Order them, you wont be dissapointed. - Chris

I was going to spend $1400 for a pair of Niles or Rockstic rock speakers. Then one of my college told me about this web site. Talked to the sales rep, he suggested their new design 250W HF14 speakers. Took a chance based on the store rating on yahoo. Placed the order and received the speakers in a week. They are beautifully crated stones, hook up with my B&K amplifier, and they rock. I like the bass, very rich smooth and very clear mid and high end. They actually sound better with the volume pumped a little. Quality products and good sound for the money. Highly recommended. - Edward

The HF14's sound fabulous, and the canyon brown color goes perfectly with the natural rocks in my yard. I just held an annual back yard party last weekend, and my guests were blown away by the sound - especially the bass. Right now I only have an old 1980's Yamaha 50W/channel receiver (that I just bought at a garage sale for $10) powering the four HF14's, and they still sound incredible... Thanks again. I bought two rock speakers last year with only one year warranty. They sound good when I first got them. I even turn couple of my neighbors for those speakers. But after winter, the speaker start fading, loosing bass and having static. Finally after just one year factory warranty expired, both speakers completely died. I call the manufacturer and they basically told me I was out of luck because the warranty expired. When I complained this to Outdoor Speaker Depot, they took back the speakers and exchanged them for their HF14 rock speakers. Wow, they sound great, smooth strong bass, clear highs and clarity is unbelievable, much better than my previous rock speakers. Best of all they have two year warranty. I was told if the speaker can last the first winter, it will last very long time....Thanks - Rob

Feel free to post this on your website or use me as a reference. Having heard both the HF-12's and HF-14's I feel your products offer terrific value. I went to the Bose store and listened to their products carefully before settling on your speakers. While I ended up with the HF-14's for my large yard, I feel anyone with a small yard would be very impressed with the sound quality that the slightly smaller HF-12's deliver. The HF-14's on the other hand are very clear and have surprisingly good clean bass, especially when pushed hard. I can't see anyone not being impressed with these. Great product and a fair price! I recently purchased a pair of the RS840 Outdoor speakers in granite gray. [...]! I set them up and I was blown away with the Bass! I was considering other speakers and none of them had even decent bass. These speakers ROCK, literally, They fill my yard with Powerful,clean sound and Deep Bass. I had about 100 people at a party and they could not believe all that sound was coming from only 2 speakers! I am putting 150 watts into each speaker and they handle it incredibly well!
