5 Stars The HF14&039;s sound fabulous and the canyon brown color goes perfectly with the natural rocks in my yard. I just held an annual back yard party last weekend and my guests were blown away by the sound - especially the bass. Right now I only have an old 1980&039;s Yamaha 50Wchannel receiver (that I just bought at a garage sale for $10) powering the four HF14&039;s and they still sound incredible... Thanks again. I went to the Bose store and listened to their products carefully before settling on your speakers. While I ended up with the HF-14&039;s for my large yard I feel anyone with a small yard would be very impressed with the sound quality that the slightly smaller HF-12&039;s deliver. The HF-14&039;s on the other hand are very clear and have surprisingly good clean bass especially when pushed hard. I can&039;t see anyone not being impressed with these. I even turn couple of my neighbors for those speakers. But after winter the speaker start fading loosing bass and having static. Finally after just one year factory warranty expired both speakers completely died. I call the manufacturer and they basically told me I was out of luck because the warranty expired. When I complained this to Outdoor Speaker Depot they took back the speakers and exchanged them for their HF14 rock speakers. Wow they sound great smooth strong bass clear highs and clarity is unbelievable much better than my previous rock speakers. Best of all they have two year warranty. Then one of my college told me about this web site. Talked to the sales rep he suggested their new design 250W HF14 speakers. Took a chance based on the store rating on yahoo. Placed the order and received the speakers in a week. They are beautifully crated stones hook up with my B&K amplifier and they rock. I like the bass very rich smooth and very clear mid and high end. They actually sound better with the volume pumped a little. Quality products and good sound for the money. Highly recommended. Since I bought thicker cable for these rocks I had to redrill my holes to the basement to fit the cables thru but I finally got that squared away and now I pondered what should I play first. Ive been collecting records since I was a kid and then I bought my 1st CD player in 1983 so my choices were endless. Then I finally made my decision and put on David Live which isnt exactly the best sounding CD however there was just something special about the live performance and being outside in the backyard; the music just flowed and sounded fresh like when I first played the lp 33 years ago. I may be getting old but these speakers made me feel young again.The bass is clean the midrange and treble are well balanced. I have a good size back yard but these babies can crank.
