What are the Benefits of a Kevlar Woofer?
Kevlar is a super strong material known for its ability to produce powerful but very smooth bass tones. Kevlar woofer cones retain their shape even at very high energy levels, which means you can crank up the volume and experience spine-tingling sound without distortion or coloration.

Convenient Contour Switches
The front-mounted contour switches let you tailor frequency responses to your room arrangement. You won't find yourself wishing for more or less treble, mid-range or bass output from one speaker just because you don't happen to sit right between them. Contour switches are particularly useful to balance the sound in odd shaped rooms as well.

Should I Purchase special cable for in-ceiling speakers?
Wiring is not included with in-ceiling speakers so you will have to purchase some. While wiring requirements will depend on your local building codes, OSD Audio offers CL3/FT4 cable that is UL (fire) rated for all residential and most commercial in-wall and in-ceiling applications. (The exception is you cannot run this cable in heating or cooling ducts in commercial applications.) This cable includes a heavy-duty outer jacket approved for in-wall/in-ceiling installation. The high quality plastic jacket is also very flexible so it's easy to run the wires inside the wall.

Powder Coated Aluminum Grille Will Not Rust
Many OSD in-ceiling speakers include powder-coated grilles that will not rust. This makes these ceiling speakers ideal for bathrooms, laundry rooms or even covered patios. Keep in mind, however, that these in-ceiling speakers are not outdoor speakers and should be exposed to a lot of moisture.
