Built for large commercial and residential installations, our Professional Grade speaker cable is designed for pros who want to provide customers with the best quality audio and get the job done quickly and efficiently. Rated for both in-wall and direct burial use, this two-conductor high strand count copper cable provides excellent signal transfer for installations where background music is needed, and the 14-gauge thickness is ideal for long wire runs (over 50 ft) and low-impedance speakers. The reinforced but flexible polypropylene jacket is UV resistant and protects the copper conductors from high heat and cold conditions as well as dirt, dust and other elements that can degrade cable integrity. Features that cater to demanding integrators include a reinforced box with an easy pull, snag-free design, and tissue-wrapped conductors for quick stripping. The extra sturdy box has a large payout hole, so cable runs are fast and smooth while the patented REELEX technology pulls coils from the inside out to prevent twists, knots, and tangles that can slow job progress. This sturdy audio speaker cable also includes two-foot increment printed markers so you can determine how much cable has been used and how much is left in the box, making long cable runs easier than ever.

kathy • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM What is the difference between a 14 gauge and 12 gauge
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Kathy, Longer wire runs require thicker the cable, and the 12-gauge speaker cable is the thicker of the two. If your longest run is over 100ft, go with the 12-gauge speaker cable. CL/MA 1528
dave • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM What is the difference between a 14 gauge and 16 gauge wire. i would like too know what wire is best for outdoor speakers
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Dave, The larger the gauge of the speaker cable, the longer the run can be. However, gauge ratings can be confusing. Smaller gauge numbers equate to larger sizes; therefore, for up to 80 feet, you can use 16-gauge cable. For runs longer than that, consider the 14 gauge to ensure that volume capability and sound quality are not degraded. CL/MA 1820
Ronald • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM What is the outside diameter of the cable?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Ronald, The outside diameter of the 14 gauge 2-conductor speaker wire is approximately 1/4" CS 2478
Robb • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM do you have 300 foot roll, or waterproof connectors for underground ?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Robb, If you order 3 of the 100ft rolls, it will come as a roll of 300ft. The same would go if you order 1 250ft and 1 50ft. We do have the KI-Blue6 Aqua Blue Direct Burial Waterproof Speaker Wire Connectors. CS 3267
mike • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM You stock Monoprice 104045 100 ft 18AWG CL2 Rated 2-Conductor Oxygen Free Pure Bare Copper Speaker Wire Cable, I wanted to ask if this was suitable for outdoor use and UV safe, also what is the main difference with 12/14/18AWG thickness?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Mike: We do not stock Monoprice cables. They are another Brand not associated with our OSD brand. But all of our OSD Branded speaker cable are CL3/FT4 rated certified for all residential in-wall/in-ceiling installations and most commercial applications except running the wire in heating and cooling ducts (that would require Plenum rated). All of our jackets are thicker and are UV treated so they can be used as direct burial. Regarding the gauges of the speaker wire a general rule is 0 to 80 feet use 16 gauge, for 80 to 150 ft use 14 gauge wire and 150 feet and beyond 12 gauge. Good luck TL/3769
