Is the AMP300 too much power for 4 pairs of LS2, an additional 2 pair of Patio speakers 135W each @ 8ohms? Will this combo work? Best option to wire? Should I look at series or parallel? Been doing a lot of reading still not clear on the details. I also plan to use at least 1 perhaps 2 OVC300's. Additionally I have am SMP500 powering a GLS8. Looking to start install this weekend. Thank you. Love your products, great prices and help. Fred

Hi Fred: Good timing, since I just had a client with a similar setup including 4 pair of LS2 wired series-parallel off of an AMP300 along with three pair of Patio speakers and an SMP500 dedicated Subwoofer amplifier and 2 of the GLS8. I can send you the same presentation and see if it might apply. It will come in a separate email. Please let me know what you think. TL/5468

I use a 9.2 Channel amplifier to power our internal speakers & sub. Additionally the receiver powers 2 outdoor speakers via Zone 2. I'd like to add more low end and really pump up the bass. Additionally the exterior speakers are great if your on the patio however as you move to the sides of the house the sound drops off. I am interested in adding 2 pairs of LS2 speakers & an in ground sub. Which power supply would I need? How do the LS2 connect?
1 Answer
Hi James: Check out the In-Ground Subwoofer Bundle featuring the GLS8 8" Subwoofer. We could add another pair of LS2 with the basic bundle. I not sure which 9.2 AVR you are using. I am assuming you are using two of the channels for the Zone 2 (you did not mention an external amplifier, something you would need for the additional two pairs of LS2) Most speaker level ZONE2 output is limited to a single pair of speakers like you currently have. If I knew what AVR I could look up if you could connect both the Speaker level like you have now and also add something like our XMP100 to run to the Zone 2 Preamp output and then drive Speaker A and Speaker B (the 2 pairs of LS2, one from Speaker A and the second pair from Speaker B). The Zone 2 would connect to the Main speaker inputs, and then you can connect to a Subwoofer Amplifier (like our SAM300: to the Main outputs of the XMP100. I am sure the Bundle of (1) XMP100, (1)SAM300 Sub Amp, (2 pairs) LS2 , and (1) GLS8 would cost less than $500.00. No problem connecting the LS2 with 16 gauge but would recommend 14 and possibly 12 gauge depending on how long a speaker wire run would be tot he GLS8. My contact is if you need further clarification (maybe you can tell me which 9.2 channel amp you are using. You would need to contact customer service at OSD 562-697-2600 for special pricing on the Bundle I suggested or another that might interest you. Good luck TL/5358

What are the differences between LS2 and LS3 speakers? Also, on the OS2 speakers, what material is the casing and the stake made of?
1 Answer
Hi Tom: Here are the basic differences between the LS-2 vs LS-3. Both speakers feature Plastic housing and stakes. The LS-3 is a gloss finish, the LS-2 is a flat matte black finish. LS-3 is a 3.0" full range driver, The LS-2 is 2.5" driver. The newer LS-2 has more mounting options than the LS-3. The LS only has the stake mounting. LS-3; 5 to 60-watt rating, the LS-2 is 5-30 watts. Both are fairly efficient; LS-2, 88db and the LS-3; 89 dB Sensitivity. TL/5099

can these be connected to via bluetooth?
1 Answer
HI Craig: We have an in-wall Bluetooth Receiver/amplifier option but the wall unit would need to be inside the house. You could run a long wire from the unit out to the outdoor speakers. We will have another option due in the First Quarter of 2018 which is our outdoor Subwoofer OM SUB 200 with a built Bluetooth Receiver and a 4.1 Digital Power Amplifier with four outputs or two pair of stereo speakers . It could be two pair of the LS2 or two pair of our Rock speakers or two pair of our patio speakers. Or any combination of the the two. As an example a pair of rock speakers and a pair of Patio speakers. Stay tuned TL/4642

Hi, I'm looking to buy these speakers for an out door restaurant , about 20 speakers one each for a table , can u please advice on what amplifier I need to get and also do I need subwoofers as well? And I need to independent volume control for each.
1 Answer
HI Imdad: We have a Distributor that handles India for OSD Audio. I would be more than happy to supply his contact information. My contact info is You can use the LS 2 for your application but you need to add an indoor/outdoor 70V transformer for each speaker. Plus we have a Mono 70V Volume Control but it is typically for indoor usage. We would also recommend going with our PAM245 70 Volt Power Amp/Mixer. Please send me your contact info so I can have our distributor follow up with you. TL/4706
