can I install these within a block wall ? looking for a speaker to place inside a paver column

These mount to external surfaces, so if there is a screw that is for block wall, then you should be able to.

Want to attach AP450 speakers and OVC 100 volume control to a XM satellite radio on a small patio.. will this sytem work?

That will be fine, but you will need an amp to power the speakers. You can plug your XM radio into the amp as your music source.

Just received these as a gift and they seem great! How do I connect them to an iPhone to play music outside? Are they wireless?

HI Melissa:
These speakers need an external amplifier to provide power to these speakers. Checkout our AMP 120 which you can connect your iPhone using a 3.5 mm to RCA adapter cable. The 3.5 mm plugs into your headphone jack on your iPhone then the dual RCA plug into the main inputs of the AMP 120. You will also need some Speaker wire to connect between the Amplifier and your speakers like our 16/2 two conductor CL3/FT4 rated cable. The cable is approved for in-wall, outdoor and direct burial installations. You will need enough to connect to both speakers.

I have a few speakers on my patio already, but would like to add a few more to increase my listening area. I have a great canopy tree that I would like hang these underneath a branch. they would get a little wet a few months out of the year. would these hold up to some water or is there a better speaker?

Our highest rated outdoor speaker are either our AP525 or AP650. Both are best when dealing directly with the elements. Both are Sealed design with no port. They also feature a unique mounting bracket for more flexible mounting options.
Note: The AP450 does feature a sealed design as well but does not have the output capability to match either of the AP525 or AP650.
