Clarification. It says a pair is 1 = 1pair Not sure if that is an error, a pair by definition is 2 like items or 2ea = 1pair. Can you clarify?

Sorry for the confusion, one pair typically means you are getting a pair of matching speakers a stereo Left and right speaker. Most sources you are connecting feature a stereo output Right and Left (+/-).

Why are they called outdoor speakers if you need to paint the grills with Rust-o-leum or clear coat? Why wouldn't you use an aluminum grill?

These do have aluminum grills based upon what it says on the web page:

If you are referring to the owner's manual note that the manual is generic covering all our outdoor speakers some that do not have aluminum grills. But these have the aluminum grills.

In an answer to the very last question , you state the warranty for the 450 speaker is 5 years but in the description it says 1 year warranty. Which is correct and why the descripancy? Thank you.

The question you refer to was from 2012 when the warranty was five years. That changed to One year for all outdoor speakers. That is our current Warranty period, 1 Year parts and labor. We also have a 30-day customer satisfaction guarantee.

Hi Paul:
I believe our warranty was changed to 1 year about 4 or 5 years ago. The question you refer to was from 2012. We try to stress the importance of mounting most patio speakers so they are protected from direct exposure to the elements. If there is a manufacturer's defect it will show up in the first 90 days. So, One year is the correct answer.
