If I buy the 70 volt version, do I have the option to use them as passive 8 ohm speakers until I purchase a 70 volt amplifier?

Hi Dan:
The AP525T will work for 8-ohm or 70V utilizing one of four tap settings available; 32W, 16W, 8W, 4W. You can use it as an 8-ohm speaker. In this setting, you bypass the internal 70V transformer and connect directly with the internal drivers. You could switch to 70Volt, setting the tap to the appropriate number, then back to 8-ohm if you want.
