The AP640 outdoor patio speaker pair is an ideal option for large outdoor spaces that require high-quality sound coverage. Rated IP54 for protection against dust and water, these speakers feature a frequency response of 37Hz to 20kHz +/- 10dB, power handling of 20-150W peak, sensitivity of 90dB. The gold-plated spring-loaded binding posts ensure a secure connection. The powder-coated rust-resistant aluminum grille, ABS polymer enclosure and 'U' bracket make these speakers durable for outdoor use. For the AP640, I assume there's NOT two tweeters.. and that the black side tweeter is the actual tweeter. What is the silver thing in the top middle? Just curious. is it for design / look?

Our factory had a cabinet that featured a three way speaker with a small tweeter and mid-range. I think we used the same cabinet and placed a bigger tweeter where the mid used to be and plugged the top hole with a Mylar cap. I check with our factory to confirm.

I have had a pair of AP640 speakers for a number of years with no problems. The issue now this the grill and mounting brackets have rusted. Can I purchase replacement grills and brackets for these speakers?

I have had a pair of AP640 speakers for a number of years with no problems. The issue now is that the grill needs to be painted (see photo). How does one get the grill off? What is best kind of paint? Thanks

We have a speaker grill puller we might be able to send to you. But you might be better off purchasing some new grills. It would take some time to prep the grills in the image to get them ready to paint. Contact our Customer Service department. The AP640 has been around for some time.

I have a pair of 640's I've had for 5 years.The woofer surround is gone in both.Just ordered 2 new pair before I receive them,Are my old ones repairable?

You might want to contact our Customer Service department and find out if we have replacement drivers available for the AP640. A speaker that has been around for quite awhile. Not sure if it would be feasible to have the speakers re-coned not when you compare the price for a brand new pair.
