Chris • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Does the amp auto power on/off or does that need to be done manually?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Chris: The way the turn on options work: 1) Set the turn on mode on the back to Normal. You will need to push the on /off switch on the front of the amplifier to turn on and off. 2) Set the turn on mode to Auto. Then turn the power switch to on. If there is a signal present the amp will turn on. Once you turn the signal off after 10 to 15 minutes the unit will go into stand by mode. You leave the switch on the front to "on. So if and when a signal comes on the amp senses this and becomes active again. You don't want the amp to go into stand by because of extended silent passage so it waits up to 15 minutes to confirm no signal present then into stand by mode. TL/4974
Joseph • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM do I need to buy the cable that connects the subwoofer amp to my surround sound amp
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Joseph: Yes, you will need to purchase a signal cable. Ironically we show a picture of a single RCA to RCA Subwoofer cable, but most Audio Video Receivers has a 3.5mm RCA connection. Check to see what Subwoofer output connection featured on your Receiver. You may be able to use an aux cable 3.5mm to 3.5mm to connect from the Receiver's Subwoofer output. If you connect to one of our stereo power amplifiers like our XMP100 you would need a stereo RCA patch cord to connect to the main line stereo output (right and left) to the right and left RCA inputs of the sub amp. You will also need to supply the speaker cable. We recommend 14 gauge up to 50 feet and 12 gauge if longer than 50 feet. TL/5281
