Dean • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Can these be connected to a Atmos enabled A/V receiver? Or do the need something additional for connecting to receiver? Thanks!!!
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Dean: Yes, you can connect this speaker to a Dolby Atmos Receiver. In fact it can be connected to any one of the 5 (5.1) or 7 (7.2) or 9 (9.2) or 11 (11.2) channels depending on which Receiver you are looking at. But when designing a true Custom Home Theater system you want to pick out speakers that you can aim the tweeter of the respective speaker at the optimum viewing/listening position. The pendant would have to be directly over your seating area. Our best in-ceiling LCR/Surround/Effects speaker would one of our angles speakers like the ACE-670 speaker. But if you are dealing with a an open area where you can not use a in-ceiling speaker we would recommend something like our Indoor Outdoor speaker the AP525 which features a unique mounting bracket which allows you to adjust both the swivel and tilt of the speaker allowing you to aim it at that optimum seating position. Mark • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM How do these install / connect to the reciever?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Mark; This is a loaded question that creates questions for you before I can properly answer. What receiver are you planning to use? 8 ohm or 70V. How many do you plan on installing? These have a built in 70V transformer with four 70V tap settings 2.5 W, 5 W, 10W and 20 W plus an 8 ohm setting as well. Additional information on source, power, quantity (layout) and images of the room or rooms you are planning to install these in. Please let me know so I can answer the question properly. tim@osdaudio.com TL/4540
Matt • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM How would you suggest calculating the number of PC640 speakers for an open office area? The space is approximately 5000 ft. Thank you!
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Matt: I could give you more detailed answer if I had just a bit more info. Do you have a Blueprint or drawing of the setup. We also have 70V patio or on-wall speakers that might be used in conjunction with the pendant speakers. The PC-640 do have a very good dispersion pattern so can be placed between 12 and 15 feet apart. We also offer 70V Amplifier/Mixers, Speaker Selector and Volume Controls that might work for you as well. tim@osdaudio.com TL/4557
Airwolfe12 • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM I have used these speakers before in a restaurant and they sounded awesome, I am just to bid on another and look at installing 8 in this restaurant seating area, I highly recommend these, as they are very versatile can be 70vt which is what I use, or 8 Ohm. Great firkin Speakers.
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Airwolfe 12: We do appreciate the excellent positive feedback, please let us know what other products you have used from OSD. Check out the new PAM245 for that next big 70V project. TL/4625
Mark • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Hi do I need a subwoofer to get a good bass or these speakers have good low frequency response...?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
HI Mark: If you check the specs in the owner's manual it shows the Frequency Response as 120Hz to 20kHz so in essence no bass. You would like to see the frequency response below 50 on the low side. Checkout our 70V AP650T which has a frequency response at 37Hz to 22kHz. So you can add bass to the pendants. What other components are you planning as part of your system? my email address is tim@osdaudio.com. Anything else you can tell me plus adding images of your project is a great help. Check out our PAM245 for a 70V Mixer/amplifier. TL/4757
